Impressive that people can learn this from home, good job man! Explained it well, valves will always be the only thing I’ll leave for the garage to do.

@@BigBoyzToyz1974 btw Have your rear brake and gear levers become loose? Check my latest video, it is quite weird and I wonder how to tighten them
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
Ok bud 4mm Allen key on the front looks like a 10mm spanner for the nut on the back but just use a pair of pliers 👍👍

Hi, have you released the next video on this valve timing adjustment? Also, would you be able to show a video of removing the head? To check piston and valve cups?
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
No not yet I had to put it back together as I use it for my daily work horse but it’s on the cards as I need to give mine a top end service very soon..👍 but I might be going big bore 166 so will do that video as I tear it down.

Hi, Just found your videos after buying an RS4 125, 2015. Great vids, will def be doing some work myself now. Can you tell me, what mirrors did you have on your RS4 125? I think mine are stock, and are useless, yours look much better.
@BigBoyzToyz1974 Жыл бұрын
Hello Ashley thanks for the feedback. Mine were also the original mirrors bud so not sure what kind you have 🤔

Heyyy so how do you adjust them like unscrew and then tighten it back up????
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately you have to use shims. It’s abit of a pain as you have to take out your old ones to see what size they are then buy ones to adjust accordingly 👍

How do I know if I need to adjust and change my valve clearance though?
@BigBoyzToyz1974 Жыл бұрын
If after you have checked and there not in tolerance. Usually loss.of compression they are to tight and not closing properly or rattle in top end and performance low too lose and not opening enough to get a full cycle of fuel and restrictions on exhaust valve.. not 100% but off the top of my head I think exhaust is 0.25mm and intake is 0.15mm but quick google search will tell you.

Also just out of curiosity, I have the SX125 with same engine! What mileage did you do your first valve clearance?
@thatrx1253 ай бұрын
Every 6k kilometers
@BigBoyzToyz19743 ай бұрын
The book says at 6 months (3700 kms) then every 12 months or 3.7k Kms..
@thatrx1253 ай бұрын
@@BigBoyzToyz1974 i tought that its 6k km, but thanks Do you have a tutorial on how to adjust the valves or can you give me the link to one (ik that it needs the shims)

Can’t you pivot the tank all the way back to the rear seat
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
No it will put too much pressure on the pivot but if tank is empty you could but I wouldn’t recommend 👍 don’t use the D.I.D chain 😂😂

Hi mate do you know how to reset the aprilia rs4 ecu?
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
Just take battery terminals off for about 20 mins is the easiest way (turn ignition on after disconnect) 👍
