I know this is an old video but could you explain why that slight damage to the dogs in the 3rd/4th slider is such a problem? It's hard to tell from the video but it looked very minor. Had it gone through the case hardened layer?

So I have a 2013 RSV4 helping a friend with. Problem was for years it has been cutting out randomly and then will restart typically only when doing track days. The problem, or another problem, then got bad enough that bike would start and die or start and only rev to 3000 rpm roughly before cutting out and dieing. I could tell it was starving for fuel-- so replaced the fuel pump. Now it runs fine again however the intermittent problem of dieing randomly at track days I am wondering if that could be related to low fuel pressure / fuel pump problems from before. If the bike was getting low fuel pressure would that cause it to just shut off with the red triangle? or am I battling something else. Also had code on the dash for immobilizer and the oil pressure switch. Cleared those and they haven't come back. Bike runs good now just haven't had a track day yet.

Hello Sir, Thank you for making that video. I own 2020 Aprilia rsv4 and I believe I broke something on the gearbox. I was on track going 140 on a straight when I couldn’t shift to 5 gear or miss shift, and it go stock on 4 rd gear. Later, I was able to bring it to N. My question to you, can I rebuild the gearbox on my own(yes I have some tools but I am not a mechanic) and can I purchase individual gear discs to replace the damaged ones? Or should I take the gear box to Aprilia mechanic to rebuild it? Thank you for your advice

2012?? I had what looked like this exact bike but mine was a '10 model (US). Sold it to buy a '16 R1 because I live on Maui and nobody on island would work on it. To this day I'm still suffering from seller's remorse. 😥

Looking at the airbox especially the velocity stacks I see they are covered in a layer dust and grime… guess the crankcase breather mists oil on them and fine dust most pass the air filter… saw this on mine, used carb clean and cleaned all off but might swap out the sprint filter back to OEM… is this normal with OEM filter as this is what appears to be fitted on the bike you just serviced here?

is it better than to turn your bike in 1st gear with clutch and drive away ???
