Finally a sunny, dry day in Edinburgh so a chance to wash off the bikes winter grime...but things do not go entirely to plan...

Muck off cleaner / wipe over with warm water sponge. Microfibre dry Next day use a car detailer spray This karcher, jet wash messing around is slow and water will get everywhere u dont want it Electrics etc

Submerge the full pipe inside the water disconnected from the pressure washer lower the gun near the bucket lift the pipe and connect it . Should work fine after that ,these machines lack the vacuum to lift up the water through an empty pipe of that length

Thanks for the advice. After returning this one I actually bought a Worx cordless pressure washer which worked perfectly.

I've got a Worx Hydroshot. It works, it's alright for someone living in a flat. Obviously nowhere near as powerful as a mains powered pressure washer... I bought a 25l Jerry can for it. Also make sure the hose is fully connected, and clicked in... I've had the same issue as your video before, and then realised I hadn't properly secured it on.

If you're after a decent pressure washer that's battery. I'd highly recommend the worx hydroshot.

Thanks for the recommendation. I did look at the Worx range but they were a fair bit more expensive. However you obviously get what you pay for so I may very well go down that road next.

The great thing about buying from Amazon is that returns are easy, it will be on the way back to them tomorrow. As soon as I get my refund I’ll have a look for a replacement.

@Scottish Zoomer yes Amazon are good that way and the refunds are usually fast. If your ever struggling for space to work on your bike I'm not too far from you (Livingston) and have a garage full of tools and your more than welcome to pop out. I don't have a bike lift yet but that's on the wish list

@@BMCMOTOUK thanks very much indeed. I’ve got the tools, just lack the garage. I did a full rear end build, new swingarm, final drive and bearings, on my Honda Zoomer in my spare bedroom on an old coffee table someone had dumped in the bin 😄 It was either that or a £600 garage bill.

@Scottish Zoomer I rebuilt a classic minis cylinder head and rebuilt a Turbo Charger for my modern mini on the dining room table. Needless to say my wife had kittens lol

Unrelated to you're power washer (what a shame!), what is the gear you use/recommend for recording video and audio while riding? I'm not so much interested in vlogging, more in capturing bad driving and people driving using their phones. I'm fed up with it and their rude reactions when I challenge them. Thanks

I always ride with a camera for just the reasons you mentioned. For the last few months I’ve been using a Drift Ghost XL. Great little camera that mounts onto helmet or bike easily (mine is on helmet) and unlike many action cams has a very long battery life. Before that (and a camera I still use from time to time for rider facing shots etc) I had a a cheap SJCAM 4000 which has lasted for years in all weathers and for the price has been remarkable. The battery life is short though, around 50 minutes max and the built in microphone is not great (no external mic connection unlike the Drift). I’ve never gone down the GoPro route, far too expensive for what they are in my opinion. Hope this is some help.
