Okayu's dubbing of this trio as #nosynergy makes a lot of sense. Well, at least they still form a color gradient...

You know, I've heard Marine giving advice. I remember when she was streaming Rythm tengoku and she was awful at it and a comment said "Maybe you should quit" and she just said "do you (kimi-tachi) walk away when things get hard? lemme tell ya something. On school I joined the swim club even tough I didn't know how to swim but that's why I joined. It was awful on the beggining but in the end I learned to swim" and... I dunno the way she talks and the tone of her voice is really inspiring. I really respect senchou no matter how goofy and "40 years old" is sometimes. Truly admirable.

Eh... but they really were scraping the bottom of the barrel here. As people who have talking as their job they do need to be able to keep up a conversation, but if you look at Okayu talking with Korone or Aqua with Shion or Marine with Pekora, you can immediately feel the difference in synergy.

Although I don't watch much content from these three, this video was amazing! Marine's work stories are really fun and this video actually makes me super interested in how the dynamic shifts with Fubuki in the fold... I just have to say as well: the TL layout is super clean, the way in which it was translated made the conversation very easy to follow, and the various text edits added a whole lot of personality so massive props for all of this!

I think this is the greatest proof that hololive vtubers are more than just vtubers, they're really professional entertainers (even if they don't start as one). I like how Aqua's and Okayu's portraits are bright and smiling in this video, and they describe themselves as gloomy and introverted. Meanwhile, Senchou's portrait looks like she's in the middle of a long, deep sigh, and she's described as cheerful and extroverted.

I like how the two with little life experience see the world as gloomy. While the one that has been through many jobs and even had an odd past is the "optimistic" one. I think that's usually how it goes. The people that are always joking and smiling usually lead the hardest life. For example, look at all the things Subaru has gone through and she's so genki. While the sad kids are just being nehilistic, middle school stuff. Edit: Marine is right by the way. Some places might threaten you with "everyone is replaceable" but if you're actually an outstanding worker they will be willing to compromise a little to keep you from leaving. An asset.

I'm not optimistic at all and had roughly the same experience as Marine. It depends a lot on individual circumstance. Granted, I'm also incredibly nihilistic but I see that as more of a reason to not give a fuck and have fun since nothing fucking matters.

Things aren't that black and white. Some people lead easy lives and are optimistic while others go through a lot, both financially and emotionally, but don't find the strength to climb out. It varies from individual to individual. Some have support from family, friends, or even a hobby to keep their heads clear. Others lack all of the above and just spiral down into nihilism. I also think it's unreliable and presumptuous to read a vtuber's outlook on life based on how they laugh and act when talking to friends. They're not only there to entertain us but sometimes they're outright playing a character. If there's anything that Fubuki has taught us is that there's a human behind the cute anime girls we see on screen. Humans with struggles, weaknesses and stories. Equating life experience to optimism is wrong and everyone is different. Assuming otherwise is simply disrespectful.

I doubt the main OP is actually making that correlation and they're probably just making an observation. On the other hand, completely agree with what the person above said about individual circumstances. Vtubers aren't cut and dry as some people seem to believe, as they are all humans with personal lives.

This kind of comment is sadly a big example of how people like to group everything just because of this need to classify everything. Every person is different, some are more positive and some are more negative, but there's people who have been through a lot and aren't optimistic or easy-going like Subaru and Marine. In fact on the contrary, having many hardships in life usually serves as evidence to the person that our society is a pretty shitty one, this isn't shown on those 2 because of the nature of their personalities and mindset. There is no actual correlation here

I think these are my favorite translation videos to watch. You really get insight into who these girls are...like real people. Plus they're also really funny =) Unfortunately they are also the most difficult for translators to work on....and the hardest to follow without pausing every 2 seconds =(

8:10 those are actually very wise words from Senchou. Have worked in jobs where you get no respect for your work but the moment you mention quitting, then they start offering raises. If you don't play a little hard to get, they'll pay you minimum wage as long as they can.
