This video was so informative.If I could ask a question in Australia we have daylight saving so I need to adjust my time could you guide me thru this please.

Some software versions differ slightly but all are pretty close in this process. It will depend on what software your unit is currently running… Go to the home screen, touch the gear/cog icon in the top left of the screen, and you will see TIME on the right side of the systems menu. Select TIME and change the values to your desired local settings and hit save.

Hello, How would you set this up to fish deep water? I fish the back side of catalina where the charts show 3-4k feet deep. I obviously would only want to look 300' or so deep but I haven't been able to get the settings for this to work for me. Thank you.

Please create a video for fishing in shallow water like the texas gulf coast bays for Redfish. I need help setting up alarms for low depths of water. I own the Lowrance Elite FS 9. I want to protect my propeller from hitting structures or oyster banks.

Thanks for the request and watch for an upcoming short on setting alarms. Until then: Some software versions differ slightly but all are pretty close in this process. It will depend on what software your unit is currently running… Go to the home screen and hit the gear/cog icon in the top left of the screen. Scroll down the menu on the left and select ALARMS. Make sure siren is enabled and then hit settings. Select Shallow Water as ON and then set your depth in the bar next to it. Hit save.

I have a Ti2 and recently bought and added an FS and I’m having an issue with the “Steer To” screen where the vessel heading is stuck on North and doesn’t adjust to the actual course heading. The data field shows the correct heading vessel heading and the bearing to waypoint don’t adjust. How do I correct this?

between overlay with downscan or not to overlay with dowscan which one is better for saltwater ?.

In my opinion, if looking for specific structure etc., then overlay with downscan is great but I generally run without it otherwise.

hello on your screen there is a 3 type of chirp High medium and low what kind of transducer is that? I would like to buy same one but I couldnt find it yet

The active scan transducer that is simulated in this video is set to High CHIRP.

can you please explain which device is better for deep waters hook reveal with hdi 50/200khz or elite fs 3-1? ....because hook reveal has 50KHZ transducer it can be used in deep waters, but looks like elite fs has different transducer and a maximum depth is 300ft....? seems like nobody has this answer

The lower the frequency the better readings at depth. You are correct in that the 50khz combo transducer will give you more detailed readings at greater depths.The active imaging three in one transducer has built in medium and high chirp capability where you can set it to 80khz on the Elite FS. Keep in mind transmit power also plays a factor. You can have a display set to 50khz but if the transmit power is weak it may not read as well as 80khz from a higher power display. How deep do you need it to read?

Hey fantastic video. I have the same one in a 9 inch FS. My problem is that on my downscan it doesnt have the tab where i can chose between the 2 frequencies. Any idea why that might be like that. Ive got the AI 3 in 1 transducer - which the unit automatically picks up so i cant scan for other transducers like youve shown in your video. Ive replaced the transducer with another new one still to no avail? Ive checked the settings and nothing either. Any ideas mate thank you

I am not sure why you are not able to do that. It could be something in your settings. I suggest calling the tech help line at 1-800-628-4487 when you are in front of your Lowrance with your transducer model and they can walk you through the settings.
