The solo was EXCELLENTLY PLAYED, missing no notes or nuamces and thanks for making it so clear to see what you were doing and where you were going with it! I like the whole multi-shot setup too.

FINALLY!!!!!! Somebody gets it. Can not handle all the BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Oh, your ring finger goes on the 3rd string under the bridge, and then on the down stroke you make sure you mute the.......... Can't thank you enough for this LESSON. This is awesome!

Dang impressive guitar work and vocals. That lead riff is oh so daunting though. I'll have to come back and watch again to see if I can pick up anything from what seems way beyond my abilities. Again, fabulous cover. Cheers.

Hard to miss that riff. An old fave. Seeing it played live is an experience. I was at the concert when they introduced it. What a stunner. Tull has always provided excellent entertainment to say the least. Never a bad show. Always excellent.

Awesome job Mark! I've always been in awe of Ian Anderson's acoustic guitar playing. He has the best picking and smoothest delivery that I can think of. This, and other Tull classics are some of the best music out there...I'd love to see Thick as a Brick!

Here I am Oct 30, 2021, looking to add this to my busking repertoire!! Not a lead player so may edit my street version. Of course I have many months before I will back on a street corner, so who knows. Excellent cover on the vocals too! I see comments that this isn't a lesson, because you don't painstakingly show every single note 1 at at time. The playing is pretty clear, and if that isn't enough maybe those people should learn to play. Don't get me started on tutorials that painfully, and I mean PAINFULLY, try to teach the strum patterns... OK, enough rant...where is my guitar... - Cheers

Awesome job! I found I could fake the feedback Martin gets on the Bb note on the Em (capo 3) chord in the solo build- up, by holding the Bb note and touching the G string at the 15th fret Bb to get an octave harmonic.

very nice cover, although the lesson ( at the very end ) is very quick and would not be good for a beginner guitarist, but then this song is a little more complex, so not really a beginner type song.... I would think that most of the 21 dislikes are from newbie type guitarists....and to the person who negatively commented about the vocals, this is not a vocal lesson, and the addition of vocals helps to keep your place in the song....( some lessons/covers just play the original song in the background )....to get a better cover, you would need to consult with Ian Anderson, himself.... Thanks, Mark....

Nicely done! I just subscribed. This is a very well-done tutorial. Good viewing angles on the neck and you were in tune. I know that sounds kind of ridiculous, but it's shocking to me that a good portion of KZfaq music tutorials are done on out of tune instruments. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. So thank you!

That was one of the goddamn coolest guitar vids I've seen here on YT... Split screen on the lead and the acoustic, split on the chords and the strum I play guitar ( well play with it but know my way around the fret board ) This shit is bad ass if you want to learn to play..I done it from a book and a cassette player...hahahah
