What i like about these bosses is that most of the time you can't just pummel them with your attacks until they drop dead. Most of them are armored and you have to do something in order to make them vulnerable.
During the last part of the final boss I managed to miss his weak point and hit the armor 5 times in a row. Now that's embarrassing.

Such sweet memories ^^ I only remembered less than half of these bosses even though I had 100% completion. I trully love this game, even though the secret ending is somewhat depressing.

It depresses me how I never herd of this game. Makes me think of all the great games I possibly missed simply because I wasn't aware of them.

I'm making a list of the most epic bosses I've encountered, and he's definitely up there. Five forms seems to be the standard for "epic final boss".

Honestly, devs planned to make 6 forms of the Creator, but they removed the "worm with hundred of faces" version. Dunno why though

You learn the shield spell at the very beginning of the game, and I completely forgot about it until this video.

Why do none of the lists of Aquaria bosses ever include the actual first boss in the game? (The one you defeat to get energy form.)

I guess people consider it more of a mini boss? It was super short and easy to beat.

@@amantislikethis I'd consider like half the bosses in this video to be minibosses though. I don't find it to actually be much shorter or easier than the other bosses, which is also due to the fact that it's the first boss in the game.

You defeat the boss at 14:28 (the Sun Temple)

@@namelesschess There is a movable crystal in the right top side of the temple. You have to get it to the left side of the temple. You'll have to raise and lower the water by rotating the gears and use the bind song to move it (be careful not to get it stuck) Once you get it left, it will flip over into the water, and you can pick it up. It provides with light enough for you to unlock the door and proceed.

If you want to switch forms instantly, you just use the number keys on your keyboard.

In a game with puzzle bosses, when your own attacks don't do anything, you start to suspect something is up.

@@Mewseeker Introducing a puzzle youve not seen in the middle of a fight (with other inconsistencies iirc) and no clue isn't good design

@@Alianger It's debatable it's the case here for various reasons. First, the boss seemingly being immmmune to attack is a clue itself which is then reinforced by several earlier mandatory boss also seemingly being immune to your attacks Secondly there is also a precedent for having to use bind to beat a boss. By this point, you realize this is another puzzle boss so at this point, the real question is "what is the trick this time?" and you try your options. It doesn't hurt that the vegetal form in general is good against enemies on a solid surface. Also, the trick was way easier for me to figure out than the one for the eye in the final battle. XD

I found this one to be kind of obvious, but maybe it’s just because it’s a common trope for bosses in games to be weak to their own explosive attacks. The one that is actually ridiculous is during the second to last form of the final boss, where you use sun form in a way it was never used before for no apparent reason.
