I’m not saying they don’t work. They will do the job. My main issue is there are better systems for the money. This company in my opinion sells systems mainly for the residual service and not really to fix water. Most systems out there that I would recommend are tailored more to fix the specific issues of your water and not just a one size fits all approach.

The 28 year old copper pipes in our house had a 3rd leak in the slab. In addition, the rubber flap in the 3 bathroom toilets where deteriorating prematurely. In researching this, I believe part of the issue is the Chloramine the water company places in the water. I found several reports indicating issues with Chloramine copper pipes and rubber flappers. I choose the Aquasana designed to remove Chloramine. It has now been 3 years, and now my toilets are running great, we did a water heater cleaning and it look like brand new. No issues after 3 years. Regarding the free shipping and discount, I always believe these companies sell these systems "On Sale, Free Ship, etc.", and that is the best system. But for the cost, it is a hell of a lot cheaper then plumbing issues, and or health issues, with Chloramines, etc.
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 2 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct on that. The Chloramine in the water is a mixture of chlorine and ammonia. The chlorine is what is messing with the rubber flappers and also o rings in the sinks. As far as cooper did you have any blue green staining? If so he sure to check your PH and make sure it’s not low. Good luck and at least you made a choice to do something when so many choose nothing at all.

Thank you for your help and honest opinion ✌️😊 Digging further down the questions to ask are why is there 10 times the chlorine needed to kill all bacteria in the water? Why is the fluoride in the water to begin with? And if we are the filter why do we continue to poison our waters essential for all life? Remember we’re all safe in the long run, but if we want to improve our lives now and for our children the change starts with our choice every day. Buying a whole house water filter is a good choice to make for a start 😊 Peace and Much Love everyone.

Hello. Thanks for your video. I live in Edmonton, Canada and use Aquasana for about 10 years I think. Can't really complain as it was serving us fairly well at least removing chlorine. Now it got clogged over the course of time and needs a replacement, however looking at their website there's no more mentioning of their system removing anything but chlorine and chloramine as opposed of a few years back where there was a big range of supposedly filtered contaminantes. So now being confused I started to shop locally and been introduced to Fleck systems. Do you have any opinion on these? Thank you.

I'm on a well, existing salt system , looking to replace with a NuvoH2O. I'm thinking that I only need the softener part of the system as I installed a sediment filter years ago when that catches the debris that comes out of the well before it goes through the system. Am I thinking right? I'm a disabled vet and the Agent Orange has rattled a few cells. There's only myself and the care taker so the usage is pretty minimal. What do you think about the system? Thanks

1. Water hardness is the mineral saturation in the water. Filtering out the Calcium and magnesium will soften the water without having to add salt that clumps with those minerals to make them settle out of the water easier. 2. Paper doesn't discolor in water... The collection of rust which is very common in water systems builds up due to collection in the filter... If you place a white piece of paper in filtered water it will not "Discolor"...
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 Жыл бұрын
White paper will not discolor if it is in pure water. That is correct. However it will absorb any impurities in the water causing it to discolor. Not sure I understand your question fully though.

I totally liked your explanation about the water softeners and demerits about aquasana... 50% discount could be a red flag, but usually they up the prices and offer the discount. While 50% discount is a red flag, most of the other water softener and your recommended product websites don't really put the prices on their website so they don't know what their worth is or they are not transparent about it?
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 Жыл бұрын
That is another issue, most places will offer a discount, I do also…however 50% is insane. As far as pricing I have mixed feeling about that. When your prices are out there like mine are on my website I do loose some customers because they are price shopping. Sometimes the most expensive system is also the worst and some of the cheaper ones are junk so there is a lot more than just price that goes into it. Most companies will want to talk and educate the customer before giving prices.

@caesarleon1
@caesarleon1 Жыл бұрын
So to summarize your gripes with this system: (1) there are redundant components to the filtration system (e.g., UV light, extra filtration stages), (2) you can’t backwash the filter, and (3) the tanks are disposable. Regarding UV, fine just don’t purchase that add-on if you don’t need it. Regarding the no backwash… would be nice to be able to backwash the main filter but the pre and post filters are cheap and easily replaceable so backwashing isn’t necessary with this system. The fact that the tanks (i.e., main filter and softener) are disposable is actually a plus in my mind - quick and easy system maintenance… and they are supposed to last 10 years and 6 years respectively (not 3-5 years as you mention here) sooo not seeing any issues here. To each their own though!

This guy sounds a little mis-informed regarding salt-free systems. Its a salt-free water conditioner. Doesn't claim to be a water softener. It doesn't filter or remove the hard minerals, it coats them. If you are on a well, you really should have a pre-filter (or spin-down). You never quite know what is going to get sucked up in the well pump.
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 3 жыл бұрын
They also claim their system softens the water along with filtering it. I agree that on a well a spin down or sediment filter isn’t a bad idea. But some of the newer systems on the market have a 10-20 micron filter built into the system to remove the need for that extra filter.
@Smellslikegelfling
@Smellslikegelfling 3 жыл бұрын
Water softening doesn't necessarily mean removing the minerals. The two main ways of softening the water are either by coating them so they don't bond to your plumbing and appliances, or by bonding them to a catalyst and flushing it away with salt. The salt method is probably the most common, but also wastes the most water and is worse for the environment. All those pounds of salt don't just disappear.

Very true. The only reason a company sells equipment is for the residual income the sale comes with. There is a local company that has been doing this since 97, they have 80,000 per month in service business before they sell the first system.

I have psoriasis that became worse when I was showering daily. I stopped showering for about a month and is almost completely gone! Doctors want to blame it on your body and that you should take medication for life, when in reality is that the body is doing what its supposed to. Your oil protection on your skin is destroyed by the hard water, so psoriasis occurs as a way to protect you from it. When you use medication and prevent your body from forming plaques, the hard chemicals enter into your muscles and a skin condition turns into something terribly wrong called psoriatic arthritis. My uncle had it, he couldn't move his hands, his whole body was red and inflamed. He died at 53 from gut complications (they flushed their intestines which made them twist). Big pharma is going to kill you 100% if you go their ways.

@@purewatersales537 Yes, I stopped medication a year ago but it wouldnt go away as I kept showering daily. I started to use oil on the plaques to give it a better appearance but they kept coming back and in different spots. I had to go cold turkey with everything and it was super embarrassing because it was mainly on my face and I felt people would just stare at me forever. I feel this prevents a lot of people from healing because you have to use something to cover it, which inhibits a long term solution. I also had chronic bloating (2-3 daily episodes for 3-4 years) and I couldnt tell what was the cause. I switched to distilled water (store bought) about a month ago to cook and drink and so far, havent had any bloating.

I felt it when my prefilter cap was leaking (after 6 years of usage, the plastic started degrading) and I had to bypass the water and I could tell the differences ,,,very very smelly of chloride, magnesium brownish all over my RO system under the kitchen sink... I just replaced my prefilter housing and put it back to service ,,,,feel much better with water going through Aquasana Whole House filtration system again (I have softener, filter tanks with UV light device) UV Light do not kill bacteria or virus? hmm 6 years and continue counting!!

Why do i get the feeling that his company doesn't or can't sell Aquasana but can sell Pelican or others? My red flag is a review or recommendation that is contradictory (the Aquasana can cost $2K or more but the Pelican which can cost $2500 is cheaper?), or factually wrong (Aquasana is not selling a salt-free water *softener,* they're selling a water *conditioner* and say they do not do anything to reduce water hardness or TDS). Also, my city/county (in Western NC about 2hrs from Charlotte) does not require a plumber or permits for a whole house water filter system. I don't know if I'm going to get an Aquasana or SpringWell or something else, but this review didn't provide any reliable or trustworthy information to help me make my decision.
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 6 ай бұрын
We could have easily signed up as a dealer for them but choose not to. Price vs cost of ownership are totally diff things. Springwell does seem to have decent reviews. And I would def double check with your permit office to make sure you don’t need a permit. Most countries in NC do require when cutting pipe to pull a permit.

Had a salt softner for 20 years. Couldn't control my High Blood pressure. Recently moved and was shopping for a new softner system. I noticed, however, my BP has dropped dramatically. I dont know whether having salt pour over my body, during my daily shower, had any effect on my BP but I think I'll pass. Another consideration of the resin softners is the resin. At 20 yrs, the conditioner tech wanted my to replace the system because he was afraid the system would fail and the resin would get into our pipes . I called my plumber and he td me he sees it often and the cost to clean those resin beads out of the house pipes. Again, I'll pass. We need new water cleaning tech that isn't harmful to your health or pipes and that doesn't cost absurd amounts of money.
@purewatersales537
@purewatersales537 2 жыл бұрын
If you have a efficient system it won’t really add enough salt to soak into your body. I also recommend a reverse osmosis to make sure if there is any salt that it is removed before drinking. If the resin is quality AND it’s a backwashing system that resin should last 70-80 years. The only way it would get into your pipes is if the screen at the bottom of the riser tube broke and allowed it to pass through. Thank you for watching and for the great comment!
