Aquatint Over Line Etching

3 жыл бұрынI'm adding a value structure to a previously etched plate (line etching) using traditional rosin aquatint. The separate values are controlled with incremental applications of stop out and timed immersions in the etching tank.

Great tutorial, Neal; best one I have encountered to date. Quick question: what stop-out are you using (it is pinkish-clear in color). I am accustomed to using dark hard ground, but it masks details underneath after it is applied. Thanks.
