INTAGLIO PROCESS: step by step how I created my etching 'First among equals'

My intaglio process here shows, step by step how I created my etching 'First among equals'.
I explain how to prepare the copper plate for application of B.I.G. (Baldwins Intaglio Ground) and how this can be treated as a soft ground to be drawn into. I then show how that is hardened (baked) prior to etching in the Edinburgh etch solution.
The plate is etched three times and then I modify it with drypoint and burnishing tools until I arrive at the finished print 'First among equals'.

Pleased you like it. Further printmaking videos are in the pipeline and will include one on how I mixed the Edinburgh etch. They are going to take quite a while to emerge however as I'm currently preparing for an exhibition. Hallo sir I was kindly asking once you intaglio print the image on the paper does the the print get texture feel effect or its smooth once its dry. Waiting for your response

It varies with every print. It depends on print pressure, how deep the plate is etched and what sort of paper is being used.
