For Anyone who does not know the language that is used in this video, please note that the language is called "Hymnos" a language that was made up for this game. it is mixture of many different language, if I am right Italian, German, French, Japanese, etc. Hymnos is a language made to emphasize on emotions than any other languages, thus the reason why it could create such amazing songs

Surge Concerto series also use it's own language; _Emotional Song Pact_ and _REON-4213._ The latter is a programming language based on the former, it seems. But, again, Ar Tonelico and Surge Concerto series are developed by the same team basically. They are nuts.

A more proper translation would be this: "Please, listen to me" "I don't wish to steal your powers or lives" "As every single life is precious to the existence of this world" "They shouldn't be disregarded or discriminated" "I wish for this to never happen again, so please, give us hope" "I know that humans aren't righteous creatures" "So please, give hope to those who wish to coexist with you".

@@th1cc It's not exactly that it's complex, rather ambiguous. Hymmnos has no conjugation markers, so in the lack of any time-marking words, tense is entirely up to interpretation. It also has a rather limited vocabulary and instead channels most of its meaning through the emotion words. A proper translation has to correctly interpret the emotion words to retranslate their nuance into the rest of the sentence the way normal human languages work.

I love Ar Tonelico. I love how each one of the trilogy has a different take on the gameplay, and I love the story and the music. I just wish it was more than a trilogy, and that it would get a little more credit.

One of my favorite song from on of my favorite games. And I really really hate the fact that Ar Tonelico III was the last game and the only game that I couldn't play coz I don't own PS3! I really wish they will remake it for PS4.... I'm gonna buy it and play it till it finished for sure!

I originally actually found this song not from the game itself, but from a link in some fiction on the site Royalroad funnily enough, back when it first changed from a translation site to one for hosting original fiction. I listened to this while reading a chapter of that years and years ago, and it was almost a religious experience lmao. I've kept coming back periodically to Ar Tonelico music over the years ever since.

As someone who finds all new games can't write a story at all. The only series I have left is trails of series, since everything I've loved has gave up on story for battles... tales/star ocean/final fantasy/xenoblades are dead forever now. Everyone who remembers this - a new game released recently Ar Nosurge, it's a kinda prequel to the whole game. Really great and interesting if you are interested in the story and the music in the game.

That's my own translation from ARM and the Ar tonelico Wikia, both of which have the feelings of the song published in the Settei Book 3 as their basis.
