I like this dude, Evan. When I get ready (in about 6-9 months) for a silencer, I will look at their stuff. Also the scope mounts/rings. American made costs more, but it keeps my neighbor employed.

I love this when i see true sportsman's ship between companies. Although 2 separate competitors they are strengthening the industry creating badass ideas universal compatibility. I love dead air and now i also love Griffin. And now my wallet is gonna be even more empty because Griffin lol. I wish weld powers could follow this same logic also

The real question is, will this mounting system work with other suppressor manufacturers that use standard size pistons? Such as: can I put a Griffin piston on a Rugged Obsidian?

Yes they make pistons for most of the brands. I have been using this with my silencer co cans.

I have the Griffin Cam lok on my VP9 and HK45 running the same Rugged Obsidian 45 on both, it works well. Mounts fast and stays tight, while making it easy to swap back and forth.

yes can confirm I have a rugged obsidian 9 with a camlok piston on my flux raider.

@@tperry101202 nice. I plan on getting a Rugged 45 and a Flux Raider coincidently enough. Does the piston just fit right into the Rugged booster assembly or do I need to throw a Griffin booster onto the Rugged can?

@@ALovelyBunchOfDragonballz you just need the piston you can use all the other included rugged stuff and you'll be good. I do think the rugged 45 doesn't work the best on the raider thought. at least not in full config I've had best luck using k sized cans. but that's a mixed bag with alot flux owners. I like the cam lok cause it makes the suppressor more secure but ill probly go with the new ez lok because they say its even more secure. I had my first "walk off" end cap strike when I was running my flux. after that I found the camlok system to stop that, had great luck with it but its always in the back of my mind.

I wish silencers were tested in the dark. Without flashlights so we can if it does hide the flash.

Griffin makes some really nice suppressors, I have 3, but their website is in bad need of an update. It’s a number of years behind the times, not the easiest to navigate.

I completely agree. It's horrible. I sent them an email letting them know. I developed websites when I was still working and it's very simple to make a user friendly site.

How do they ensure the suppressor is concentric with the bore?

@@maxximus2012 Tapering only allows for more precise alignment of the suppressor to the QD device. If the bore is not concentric within the barrel, if the barrel threads are sloppy, or if the shoulder of the barrel is not cut square, misalignment is possible. I've encountered all three problems in the past on barrels from reputable manufacturers. I don't think Griffin is providing the barrel, so they have no way to determine any of this unless the customer sends in his barrel. Before firing a round through this setup, the shooter should verify good alignment with a solid close fitting rod run from the breech end through the suppressor.
