Very cool! I like how you mounted it to the trans itself more like a CD009 or T56 factory relocation. Came out really well. I'll be doing similar to my V10 Impreza, though probably chassis mounted for the remote shifter. Gonna watch the update video you linked elsewhere in the comments now.

I’m doing an nv3500 in an LS swapped car. I hate how most of the remote shifters are mounted to the sheet metal floor. Thank you for this video. I was very hesitant to convert to manual. No fear thanks to you!

SKILLLLS! Great work man. Walking the concept through on paper was nice to see. It sounds like you found the bugs and onto "V2" of it. Nylon washers will hold up well over time compared to the grease. Props!

Thanks man!! I think the copper crush washers that I added at the end will work for a while, but I do think that plastic washers could reduce friction and give it a smoother feel. Cant wait to get this thing running so I can work out some of the small details!

This is great idea ! I manual swapped my crown Victoria and the original shifter is right under the dashboard so i welded a right angle bar and sure it has very long throw between 2&4 gears.

Thank you so much! I am thinking I will definitely need to make some modifications to this design to eliminate some of the slop, but to get the car going it should do just fine. There are always sacrifices when doing things yourself!

Much appreciated!! I did come up with a "Version 2" of the design with a clevis end on both ends of the linkage. This really got rid of most of the play in the system. I’m having this problem on a completely different car and engine swap. I have more play than you so thinking about using thrust bearings in between the horizontal and vertical linkages, that way you could get the bolts super tight with no binding (I think)

I ordered some hardware to make a more robust V2 of the linkage. I think only having the linkage on one side is making it sloppy. I will post an update when I make my adjustments!! thanks for the comment!

You should of just get the one from a Pontiac solstice and that would of fit in the same location as the rx7 transmission.

Yeah, that probably would have been the easiest option honestly. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a solstice transmission around my area. Either way, thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment!
