Как же классно сделано. Всегда хотел заниматься чем-то подобным, но тратил время на альтернативщину) Для идеала хорошо бы побольше текста, который мог бы лучше объяснять те или иные события, а то я думаю для 90% зрителей эти события ( да и не только этих) туманны. Хоть я понимаю, что канал мапперский, а не исторический, я считаю, что отображение истории через карту лучше всего помогает эти события не только запомнить, но и как-то осознать. Спасибо!

Единственное, что я могу сделать - посоветовать литературу, которую я использовал во время создания данного видео. Для меня главная цель - заинтересовать зрителя, показать насколько сложный и многогранный был тот или иной период истории. Возможно, кто-то после просмотра моего видео прочитает источники, которые я прикрепляю, и узнает много новой информации.

Идея то действительно хорошая, только, к сожалению, одному мне это сделать не под силу... Ради одних только арабских завоеваний пришлось прочитать 4 тома, а уж сколько надо информации посмотреть, чтобы сделать видео о всей Евразии я даже боюсь представить... Конечно, можно сделать такое видео на основе данных с википедии, но оно будет достаточно низкого качества.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I called the video "Arab Conquests" because during the Umayyad Caliphate, non-Arab Muslims were oppressed, leading to constant uprisings. The equality of all Muslims in the Caliphate happened only under the Abbasid dynasty.

It is not wrong to call this the Arab Conquests. During the Umayyad caliphate, there were few non-Arab Muslims. All governors and military commanders were Arabs. There were Christian Arabs even in the administration. and Yes, non-Arabs were treated with suspicion. Because they were seen as the source of many fitna.

Very good video! Where did you get your information about the city of Tarsus (and Cilicia in general) though? If my memory if correct, the Byzantines lost it in the 630s and only regained it during Constantine IV's Cilician campaign. But you video shows Tarsus being in Byzantines hands again in 659, where did you get that information?

To be honest, I don't remember where I got my information about Byzantine conquest of Eastern Cilicia during the First Fitna. Basically, the source of information about Arab raids and conquests in Asia Minor is Mher Hakobyan's book "The Great Game: The Eurasian Great Game and Armenia", written in Armenian. There is also information about military actions in Cilicia, for example, I took information about the conquest of Tarsus by Byzantines in 672 and its reconquest by Arabs in 673 from there.

That the Azariqa leader al-Qatari proclaimed himself caliph in 688/689 is mentioned by Oleg Bolshakov in chapter 7 of volume 3 of the book "History of the Caliphate". The Azariq Caliphate is a conventional name for the territory controlled by the Azariqa

This topic is a really interesting one there are a lot of things that still remain a mystery but based on Islamic and non-Islamic sources we do know that before the Umayyad period, there was an Arab state that conquered Egypt and much of Middle East from 622 to 661 CE we also know that there was some sort of Calender used by this Arab state it wasn't the hijiri Calendar but it goes back to the year 622 CE we also know some of the leaders or caliphs who ruled the Arab state and those were Umar ibn Khattab and Uthman Ibn Affan and Ali ibn Talib and Hasan and Husayn this Arab caliphate may have been founded by Prophet Muhammad.

In Morocco, the emirate of Necor, founded in 710 by Salih ibn Mansur, was autonomous. In Sogdia and Tokharistan, small Sogdian principalities are shown: Huttal, Kubadhiyan, Badakhshan, Bukhara and etc.

Yes. The first establishment of a neutral zone dates from around 639, when Emperor Heraclius evacuated all troops from the territories between Antioch and Tarsus. Due to the constant plundering Arab raids on Cappadocia and Armenia Minor, the inhabitants were forced to flee to fortified cities such as Caesarea in Cappadocia. This territory was purposely devastated by the Arabs so that Roman armies could not invade wealthy Syria.

Халифы (от Усмана до Абд аль-Малика) копировали не только сасанидские монеты, но и римские. Причиной этого было огромное двух империй на Аравийский полуостров в течении многих веков, из-за чего в северо-западной части Аравии преобладали римские солиды, а в восточной и южной части сасанидские драхмы. У арабов долгое время не было собственных монетных дворов, поэтому они продолжали чеканить монеты с изображениями Хосрова II и Ираклия (добавляя на краю монеты надпись "бисмиллях", эту надпись можно увидеть на монетах, показанных в видео) до 690-ых годов, когда Абд аль-Малик провёл денежную реформу и ввёл новые арабские монеты.

@@HoneyMad_History да, всё верно, ромейские на соответствующих завоёванных территориях тоже использовались - в виду стремительности завоеваний халифским чеканщикам требовалось время, чтобы свои какие-то (в будущем типично мусульманские*) элементы выработать, ну а на период активного роста державы и сопутствующей росту изменчивости границ можно было довольствоваться уже имеющимся дизайном) и само по себе это неплохо демонстрирует ситуацию доисламского периода, когда у крупнейших (фактически единственных*) арабских государств - Лахмидов и Гассанидов, кажется, отсутствовали собственные монетные дворы, а для правителей во все времена это было важным атрибутом демонстрации важности/значимости собственной власти. Хотя это было и не нужно, учитывая, что экономики этих образований полностью зависели от соседей-сюзеренов, и вся торговля держалась на их валютах. Но вот у сабеев/химьяритов и уж совсем дальних набатеев свои монетки находятся

Most impressive thing about the Arab Conquests has to be how it continued on upon the amount of civil war. As for errors, you got the shape of Kanem-Bornu wrong, It did not extend south of Chad, it original was just on the north eastern shore of Chad, later expanded to the north west by conquering bornu and never controlled the south, not until the kingdom became Bornu in the 1500s did it start to have vassals in the south.

Wdym, iran has not been muslim(at least legit) since the 1500s. Israel was islamic majority back in the day, and then it got artificially rejudaized. Now, the pendulum is swinging back to the side of the Muslims, and Muslims will overtake the jews via population(because of birth rate)
