Всё будет так далеко от тебя, что единственный шанс туда добраться - это воспользоваться каким-либо транспортом. И по факту, чтобы жителям не пришлось ради работы, учёбы или покупок делать ежедневные длительные поездки, скорее всего весь город-линия в итоге окажется разделён на своеобразные кластеры, районы, где будет присутствовать всё необходимое для жизни местного населения и внутри которых и будет идти по сути вся жизнь жителей этого района, а перемещение в остальные районы города сократится почти до нуля - т.к. это будет далеко и нецелесообразно.

If it is lined up with the Sun's path, the solar panels will not be efficient, unless tilted in some way. If "the line" is not lined up, then the inner walls will be in perpetual darkness. I'm sure there is a reasoning here, but I wonder what is the choice between those two... The maintenance problem with solar panels (it seems to me) is that they accumulate dust and impurities when not vertical, so I think I would choose not lined up with the Sun, perpetual shadows inside, and more efficient, with vertical solar panels facing the Sun.

Отчего же не построить? Песка и цемента вокруг полно, знай только строй! В Эмиратах проблема только с водой и электричеством. Но научились опреснять морскую воду , пустить ее в единой системе по прямой -не проблема. Нефти полно, денег полно, страна богатая. Своих жителей мало, обслуживают страну все малоразвитые близлежащие страны. Гражданство получить практически невозможно, все только для коренных жителей. Ну, будет город в одну улицу за стекляными стенами, песком не занесет. Любят арабы удивлять мир! Пусть забавляются , пока есть нефть и золото!
