Your pronunciation is impressive and Egyptian dialect has it's own humour and "ring" it's such a heart lighted dialect in Arabic so hearing you speak with it in a common tongue not a traditional one makes you relatable and pleasing to hear ❤

you have done a great job explaining the Arabic language but there is one thing : the noun "dogs" "كلاب" is not a feminine noun. it's called "جمع تكسير" It is treated as the singular feminine in reference like we say : الكلاب تطارد" اللصوص" وهذا شرح بسيط: "الكلاب" لفظ مذكر لكنه جمع تكسير لغير العاقل، وهذا النوع من الجموع يعامل معاملة المفرد المؤنث في الإشارة والوصف وعودة الضمير... فتقول مثلًا: هذه كلاب مدرّبة، والكلاب تطارد اللصوص. وهذه الكلاب سائبة. شكرا براين على ما تقدمه من محتوى

Learning a new language takes time especially Arabic. Some learners may feel frustrated because they set high expectations. To be a fluent in any language within 6 months, you need to study the language full time ( at least 8 hours per day). Cheers, Ali

You did a great job in explaining the differences concisely. I would add that in that non-native Arabic speakers tend to overpronounce or overemphasize in tone compared to native Arabic speakers especially in vowels. Just for example (Qatar) being exaggerated way too far into (Qaa-Taar) when it's actually pronounced softly and briefly (Qtr = قَطَرْ), also the letter (L = ل). -There are also some inaccuracies I wanted to point out, first one caused by the Egyptian dialect rather than standard Arabic, (ض ظ are pronounced close to Th-). -The part about plurals of non-human masculine singular becoming grammatically plural-feminine from the example is incorrect. Grammatically plural of non-human (and non-traits/non-characteristic) masculine simply doesn't exist (Except for very few words that are adjunct to plural masculine for very complex grammar reasons), they're still masculine but their plurality is in the category of "Broken Plurals" which has its own grammar not from plural-feminine grammar. -The example (كلاب) is broken plural masculine, with diacritics of the singular form not the plural-feminine, in description/indications it is [treated] as feminine but not in actuality, grammar or interpretation. Although not popular, there is the feminine word of dog (كلبة) in plural (كلبات) which is plural-feminine with its diacritics.

انت عسل يا براين، بس لازم تسوي تحدي لنفسك وتزور بلدان اخرى غير مصر وتعمل فيديوهات عن رحلاتك واختلاطك بثقافات عربية اخرى! ممكن تروح السعودية مثلا وتتجول في مدنها الرئيسية، جدة والرياض والدمام لانها تجمع بين لهجة الخليج والحجاز بالتالي تغطي الخليج، وممكن تروح الأردن تغطي اللهجة الشامية كون سوريا ولبنان قد تكونا خطر عليك، وتزور المغرب تغطي لهجات المغرب العربي كذا تكون أخذت التجربة العربية كاملة 💌 طبعا السودان واليمن مستثنين بسبب المشاكل.

yeah, about the plural thing... as an arabic speaker, lemme make it more complicated for you guys in english you just put an "s" in the end and call it a day right? (sure there's some few other cases like the "y" turning to "ies") well, in arabic, you have three types of plural overall. the masculine plural (جمع المذكر السالم), the feminine plural (جمع المؤنث السالم), and the crushing plural (جمع التكسير) (btw, i ain't sure if that's how the last one is called english but anyways) if ur talking about more than two men, you must use the masculine plural, which in turn has two cases that depends on the context of the word in the sentence. we either add " ـون " or " ـين " at the end of the word an example: عامل (a male worker) ثلاث عاملون (three male workers) in another context, u could say: ثلاث عاملين which has the same meaning as the previous one but different context if ur talking about more than two women, u must use the feminine plural. the bright side here is that there's only one case, we add " ـات " at the end of the word as in the previous example: عاملة (a female worker) ثلاث عاملات (three female workers) finally, there is the crashing plural, which changes the form of the entire word and has i think 12 or more forms an example: نغمة (tune) انغام (tunes) there are words in which both plurals can be used also, if we used numbers with it, each specific group of them or just one number changes the plural completely. and there's even more than that to the matter. the same thing applies if we are talking about two things but with totally different rules. arabic grammar is just a living nightmare lol

And many things which are not human are treated as a single feminine as opposed to plural feminine because yes that's a thing in arabic and dual form exists in masculine and feminine too. But in spoken dialects things are more relaxed. That's why even as Arabic speakers, classical Arabic is astonishing to us too sometimes.

More than 10 the form returns again to singular form but that is in (Count) only.. for example 12 housses (١٢ بيت) and now lets refer to this houses by using (this) in Arabic كانوا ١٢ بيتًا وهذه (البيوت) واسعة بيوت هنا جمع لأن ١٢ يدل على الجمع وليس مفرد ولا مثنى لكن في اللغة العربية العد فقط يأخذ هذا الشكل In Arabic only in counting we use this form (12( house) and this (houses) "no numbers here so its plural" are vast)

A lot of what you’ve described can be actually found in other languages too. Say the German “die Frau” is feminine, “der Tisch” is masculine but many tables will be “die Tische” which sort of matches up with the feminine article. Also, the way you count in Arabic is very similar to Russian. I think the more languages you learn, the more experience you get to learn another language.
