I hand file with just a round file and never had any issues. The cutters are razor sharp.

Someone needs to check the depth gauge on those pants.

I just use a STIHL Chainsaw chain sharpener. Super Simple, really quick, and gets the chain like new again.

Yep agree but after time can get it nice. Still use a raker gauge tho. Cos needed consisincy. Like the hard soft gauge from husky cos the stihl one to hungry on hard dead aussie stuff. Great on pine

Its all in ya hands. File in not down. Odd time slips up. But really mines sharp an got bita pull which is nice. Guide didnt pull aswell.

In all my years and all the outdoor equipment, I find chainsaws to be a biggest pain in the butt.

first tip should have been to throw out that vanguard chain. the file o plate is also a progressive guide so it will help drop the depth gauges more than the other style guide as the tooth gets shorter.
