Excellent vid for beginners… and some gung-ho cowboys that think they’re the cats ass. Thank you for keeping it simple and to the point.

I really like your videos guys. I suspect that really narrow hinge at 1:16 was made to make it easier for you to roll the top forward to demonstrate how the hinge works. But it'd be great to tell people that that hinge was intentionally narrow, so they do not copy those tiny hinges...

Nothing huge but Husky actually doesn't have the sight line at a 90 degree angle from the bar (Stihl and other brands do) but it is tilted slightly towards the tree to match where the top of a 15 meter high tree would fall.

Love arborpod to death. But something that has always bugged me to death is, have these already been filmed or what?! I mean, the quality of the video, the clothes, the tech, everything about this seems late 90s. It's just kinda bizarre. Like I said, I love arborpod. It's just kinda out of place.

chemistrycounts I've always wondered the same. How are there new uploads when it really looks like it was produced in the 90's? Also, why is he wearing oven mitts? Lol

You don't say ;-) What tipped you off? The 90s mustachio? The 90s protective gear? Or even the 90s chainsaw design? Yeah, could be the 90s oven mitts too - LOL But regardless, everything is still valid 20 to 25 years later...

1.When you make the top cut first (and proceed to "gun the tree") you are working in 2 planes, so when you cut, you need more concentration and skill to make sure that the cut is vertikal to the treeaxis; it is also harder to get the angle right and the cut depth (1/5 of tree diameter). 2. Why make the undercut not 90° to the treeaxis? Your way its even harder to hit the other cut, because again wokring in 2 planes. 3.
