ARC 8000R Switch Panel and Relay Board Kit is what I have purchased for the BlownSBC 53 Studebaker! This video is a review of the ARC 8000R from Summit Racing and Auto Rod Controls! The first switch will be momentary and for start, #2 will be ignition, then water pump, rad fan, trans fan, lights, etc... I have my fueltech ecu set to power on with the main power switch.

Informative...like the product review. I too like to include an email and/or phone call to suppliers to test their responsiveness. Customer support is everything to me.

I have the exact same switch panel in my 89 mustang hatchback race car an I love it. It’s very simple to install an wire up.

The biggest issues that I have heard of with ARC panels is the ribbon wire from the panel to the board. Everyone that I have talked to that runs one says keep a spare on hand.

Ive heard that a lot too. We use those in industry alot. They due go bad, but it's rare. The key is that they never have strain on them, and they don't get hit. Don't reaf down on them with fasteners. Do that, and there is a low chance of failure.

Kevin when you posted the video of the first start on the studebaker would you do a video on the data display you used which showed all 8 egt's simultaneously plus other data?

This video is funny! You talk about being able to speak to the owner about a product you are intending to purchase. I have attempted to contact you several times over the last 6 months by leaving several messages with your Dad (he always states you are out of town) and by emailing you multiple times to speak with you about a coilover shocks recommendation and then set up a date to get my racecar suspension setup. Hey Adam first of all I apologize for your frustration. Last September we experienced some pretty hard times personally and I had to put up an auto response to help with the requests coming in. I do my best to respond to every comment and email, but I was unable to for about 4 months straight. I am sure you understand life happens and people encounter issues. I have run my ARC 8000 for over 4 years now with no issues. The ribbon cable can be an issue if you sinch it down too tight with zip ties. Also mine is an older version without the hold down bracket on the top of the switch. It has never come loose on me. If i had to make one complaint, it would be the switch panel. In the sun its sometimes hard to see if its on. I had to make a small visor for mine. Also if you ware gloves its hard to feel the switch. I wish they would make a mechanical rocker switch panel that would work with his board. I would upgrade my panel in a heart beat.

Yes. It works great but it would not hold the transbrake solenoid. Other than that I love it. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!

Does the momentary have two position - for example can I use it for up and down functions

Top of the day to yall. One question for yall Kevin. Does the circuit board come with a cover ?? I really don't care for the ribbon and the China relays, but with that being said, I think it's a great choice.

the relay board does not come with a cover.. I have several tell me already to have a spare ribbon cable on hand. Ugh... Once I get it installed and tested, I will definitely report back. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!!

Question…. On the big red wire connected to the circuit board does anyone know the washer layout? Is there a Teflon washer or just a single washer? I’m talking about the side that has the wire connected to it when you buy it

Very cool that you're supporting a little guy. But let's be honest, the China relays are probably better than any USA made ones you'll find nowadays. That's likely why he's using them.
