I personally love his voice in this version. I think it’s natural and organic. Also, first version I heard

This was the version I heard first, and fell in love with. The album version is WAY overblown. It should be this intimate.

The king’s taken back the throne, The people, they all groan, They change what they want written on the stone, We’ll go at it alone. You can taste the (their?) fear, Lift me up and take me out of here, (You know?) No I wanna fight, I wanna die Just tell me what they say. Working for the church while your family dies, Little baby sister gonna lose her mind, Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home, Hear the soldiers groan, we’ll go at it alone. There’s something in the air, The people, they all just sit and stare, Tell me what they point to, tell me where Then tell me- Who’s gonna throw the very first stone? Who’s gonna reset the bone? Sitting with his head in a sling, I hear the soldiers sing: Working for the church while your family dies, Little baby sister gonna lose her mind, Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home, Hear the soldiers groan, we’ll go at it alone. You shouldn’t shine the light, Someone teach me, teach me how to fly, You know, there’s something for which I would die, But I just don’t know- You know, I can taste the fear, Lift me up and take me out of here, You make it I can (???), you know I’m gonna fade (fail?). Working for the church while your family dies, Little baby sister gonna lose her mind, Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home, Hear the soldiers groan, we’ll go at it alone. Hear the soldiers groan, we’ll go at it alone.

@KheldardeDrasnie it was recorded in january 2005 so i guess this is the first/early version of intervention. and this was for the radio, so obviously they werent going crazy like they use to do in their show :P btw this is a mythical acoustic session. they played several of their song.

For everyone who never saw the full show, his voice is barely working here because he’s extremely ill with the flu or something while they were touring. He says he can barely sing at the start.

What is this ? Intervention ? The lyrics will change ... And I think Morning Becomes Nightmare for the singer ! As Regine seems to sleep ... like all the Arcade Fire ! But it's quite fun ...

All these lousy indie bands are good for about two chords a song. I've yet to see a good guitarist in one of there lame hipster groups
