Many people claim this was the official first appearance of "Bloody Tears". It wasn't. "Simon's Quest" had already been out in Japan since the Summer of 1987.

As for Jumping on the hobby for monetary reasons, I'm a film director for my full-time job and make more money In one day doing that than I make on KZfaq in a year so I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. Funniest walking animation ever lol. Imagine real person walking like this. He's swinging his ass left and right. Attack animation is not much better too. In NES version for example you see the power behind his whips. Here it looks like he's smacking a fly. You don't use a whip like that. Also, 9:49 best boss music

In the case of this game, you didn't miss much. I had the opportunity to play it in my local arcade many years ago and it wasn't great. Probably the worst Castlevania game I've played.

September 1986 was the new era of KONAMI due to Haunted Castle (later Castlevania as a permanent IP for KONAMI) and 1 year later became big 4 of KONAMI's major IP (Castlevania, Contra, Gradius and Metal Gear), Metroidvania change the game.

Honestly, the game wasn't much fun to play: The controls were stiff and janky and the game was grossly unfair. All the home computer/console Castlevanias were much more fun to play.

I played this in my local arcade many years ago. The visuals are actually quite impressive for the time, but the gameplay was horrible: Stiff controls, floaty jumps and it was almost impossible to make progress without learning exactly what came from where and when. It didn't see much play and didn't stay for long.

i been wanting to get the ps4 version for this game that's on psn to upload my playthrough for it but i honestly cannot stand how horrible the Belmont looks in this arcade version for CASTLEVANIA i mean how the hell Simon Belmont looks Way cooler on NES version both Simon's quest and CASTLEVANIA 4 versus of simon looks ten thousands times better than this fuck all i want to see in ps4 is all other CASTLEVANIA games from retro classics up to all 3D Castlevanias such Cv lament of innocence Cv curse of darkness and CASTLEVANIA lords of shadow saga

At last, Someone whos not a hater of lords of shadow trilogy. What a blessing. As a spanish, because the guys who did those games are from Barcelona, i thank you kindly. The hate comes from plain envy. If the lords of shadow series were american, they would have got skyrocketing rates. But they were made by spaniards so they are just bad for that only reason duh
