I watched your review just for Centipede and Millipede. I'm old school just like you and back around 84 or 85, I played Millipede for 10 hours straight on one quarter, 21,999,999 (ABC). Nevertheless I want a machine that feels and plays just like the proper arcade game (wish I kept the one I had). I will probably pick this up now because of your review...thank you so much.

Thanks! and you'll love it, the screen is a "oof" for pure black, but the Millipede and centipede game are amazing on it!

Stupendous review, man. I wanted this cabinet, but I wanted to see it in action. You did a great showcase for that. Now I'm REALLY excited to save up for it (this will be a long year). Thanks a ton ^-^

Thank you for a proper review. All other reviews talk about the physical cab and not the actual games or gripe about the monitor for 90% of the review. You actually gave me each game and what you like and dislike about them. Thank you! I’m thinking of getting this, mk 40 legacy, dragons lair or Tron for my next arcade. But after your review I am strongly considering this centipede cab! P.s. i happen to Absolutely love centipes and millipede and I probably won’t even play the other games nearly as much as centipede. One of my alltime favorite games and I remember centipede and pacman were the only video games my mom Would ever play!

This Machine really is worth the cost. It takes a little while to put together though. The AT Games Legends Ultimate has most of the same games built in and is easier to put together, but this one looks nicer and is dedicated to Atari.

Millipede and Centipede play very very well. I'm still addicted to them 2 months later.

I ended up getting this cab and so glad I did! It’s oldschool fun and it feels like i’m back in time at the restaurant where I first played centipede. I love the cabinet design. The games and the controls play great. My only real complaint is that the monitor could be darker. Why don’t they program these things with a brightness and contrast option? Any rate, thanks for your opinion on the cab as it persuaded me to get this and Im still having fun a couple months later! (Im in the process of upgrading the sound on all of my cabs with a 50w sub and logitech speakers. Huge difference especially in games like T2 and outrun. Eventually centipede will be getting this upgrade too! I throw arcade parties for my school and most of these Arcade1ups cant be heard in a room full of loud music!)

Fantastic review ;) Most of the games on here are on my Tempest A1UP Legacy but that one has been down for me for months. (Also on my Asteroids partycade, which works great.) I also love Liberator, soo underated! Glad u liked it too. Honest review and I would expect nothing less. Love ya bros & keep up the wonderful work ;) Happy new year! (is it too late to say? lol) PS Also a huge Millipede fan, although I love the 2600 version more. I know I'm weird, it's just faster and I like playing it more (perhaps a fondness for what it felt like all those years ago.) The screen is a little subpar, totally agree, but that to me is the only miss here. Thanks much! A+

I have seen the monitor swap outs, but, like you, I also feel like I want to leave it intact.

@@IntoTheVerticalBlank it seems like a bigger deal because of all of the commotion that surrounded it. Don’t get me wrong , it’s not a great monitor but if it were not for all of the KZfaq videos I watch , It would have seemed way less serious 🧐

@@petermacnab1871 Besides the monitor, I find the controls excellent for all the games but Missile Command. The trac-ball for millipede and the spinner for Tempest are very very good.

@@IntoTheVerticalBlank I agree and while Missile command could be better as far as button placement , it’s much better than on the Tempest cab for me !

The real elephant in the room with the monitor is the fact that most of the games included should be played on a vertical monitor yet they did the horizontal monitor on a Legacy cab which is really baffling and a major breaking point for me to own this cab. Centipede is a vertical game not squished or “letterboxed.” 🤦‍♂️

Ed Logg and Donna Bailey and the monitor should have been vertical and not horizontal.

I’d like to have Centipede but I just don’t remember most of these other games. Breakout and Asteroids I remember of course but not the others. It’s a beautiful cabinet though. I’m gonna wait until it’s under $500.

I’ve tried Asteroids emulators where - unfortunately- firing occurs on button up rather than on button down. Looks like that’s happening here, too. Am I right?
