I’m not seeing those issues. Not sure if you can hear the sound good in the vid, but it sounds crisp and loud. And no delay on the controls. Have you done the update?

Little update if anyone is here. My class of 81 came and I built it and it works amazing, no issues at all. My pacman deluxe connector on the circuit was completely glued and not connected properly and a pin is bent, the delay is reduced but there is still some noticeable delay left

Sadly no scan lines. Something I’d like to see personally. You just have standard - which I’d call pixel perfect. And then smoothing which I don’t like

What are your plans for this cab?

I have a 1st gen Pacman modded pi3 cab with a Dell 20" monitor that I really want to swap out with this new Deluxe shell. I might keep the stock 17" and maybe make control panel removeable with a flip hindge?

I was thinking about that. It’s possible you could remove the back off the controls before building making it easy to access from the back of the cab should you wish to upgrade or modify 🤷🏻‍♂️

Screen has developed lines all over it. Not had time to troubleshoot

It’s a great cab. My only complaint is whatever the issue is with the joystick, but doesn’t detract from average game play. I do have a buddy who’s somewhat of a champ in this game, and it frustrates him but nobody else would likely notice

@@KelsallsArcade yeah the buttons and joystick usually get replaced with sanwa parts😛

@@pacboy24 I think just a 4 way gate would fix it. I’m not a sanwa fan . Prefer happ Il for games that need better controls like fighting games

@@KelsallsArcade , your brain will compensate by moving a little ahead of time. I notice the delay most when playing the bonus rounds on Mappy. You have to hit those openings just right. I think a lot of people blame the joystick for the lag, but I do not think that is the problem since you can hear the click of the switch before the delay occurs.

I actually don’t think there’s lag at all. If you can see it on the vid it’s likely caused by my iPhone 🤷🏻‍♂️

Appreciate the feedback, but I disagree. Firstly I did talk about the monitor, I said it looks good from angles when sitting or standing and that having it recessed looks great . Certainly no issue with the monitor from my perspective. Suggest you go to a Best Buy and look first hand as I’m fairly sure it’s no better or worse than the namco legacy I had. Both were fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's funny that you suggested going to a Best Buy as I just got back from there :) They didn't have the Class of 81 on Demo, but they did have the Deluxe version of Pac-Man. And boy, am I disappointed. The same screen uniformity issues as shown in this video and others I watched. However, standing directly in front of it playing, looked quite decent with even lighting, but if I even started to move to the sides, or looked at the screen from a few steps away, ugg, the wrong monitor for the job. Still, and I want to make sure you know that I appreciate your opinion, I believe you when you say the screen looks fine for you. Heck, you have enough skin in the game with incredible collection. I guess we just have a difference of opinion on this one. And maybe, just maybe, the Pac-Man one I saw is using a different monitor, not the same as Class of 81. I'm SO GLAD, I was able to see a Deluxe cab in person as I felt kind of bad just basing my opinion on videos and not seeing it in person first. @@KelsallsArcade Oh, I didn't say it was a bad as the monitor in the last MK, not by a longshot 😋. BOE makes a pretty great monitor, which is what Arcade1up is using in the new Deluxe line (they used horrible ones in many of last year's models including MK30). What I think is happening is that the BOE they're using can't handle the extreme angle found in the new Deluxe cabs. Too much loss of light uniformity when not positioned directly in front of it at gameplay distance right up at the machine. Yeah, the bad monitors Arcade1up used in their last Legacy cabs (MK30, Pacmania, Dig Dug, Centipede, ect.) and their XL line (NBA Jam Shaq Edition and Golden Tee) not only faded, but had horrible discoloration problems. The Deluxe that I saw in person, the Pac-Man variant, and the Deluxe's I've seen in other KZfaq videos don't have these issues, thank goodness. Since I have the Legacy version of Pac-Man, with the BOE positioned flat, showing great light uniformity and black levels no matter which angle, or at what distance, I feel I'd be downgrading the monitor experience replacing it with the Deluxe version. Sure, the Deluxe cabinet shape looks more like the original commercial arcade cab, and it does have two games I REALLY want (Rolling Thunder and Galaga 88), but I just can't make that sacrifice. I'm going to wait until Arcade1up can figure out the right monitor for the job before considering another change. Maybe they'll go OLED... Nah 😂. In the end, I think it all comes down to perspective and preference. I don't think there are any right or wrong answers here. I'm just happy you found another great cab to add to the game room. At the end of the day, if you get something you enjoy, that's all that matters 🙂 vgv

@@KelsallsArcade you must of never played on a Ms Pac-Man Galaga arcade machine you can continue after losing all your lives no game over everyone who played on it once knows it sounds different you can play Pac-Man as a bonus game if Pac-Man isn’t included how is it a Ms Pac-Man Galaga arcade 1 up Namco and arcade 1 up may fool people like you who didn’t buy arcade machines in the 1990’s -2004 but their not fooling me I watch video’s before I buy them so I don’t get tricked

Did they say if we press the button we won’t hear April or shredders voice say help me or shredder saying tonight I die on turtle soup arcade 1 up got my money for that game and I got robbed ever since that day I now watch videos before buying them arcade 1 up is saying they want to bring the arcades to home but they aren’t their making their own that’s no where the same as the original look at their cheap joysticks that fall off
