Thank you so much,for showing us what happened in the Ian storm my house is in Palm Coast ,northeast, 20 minutes away from St Augustine, we only have lots of rain,and wings, but not so strong, thanks God nothing happens, only the Coast side by the beach,.

You must have been out there Friday or Saturday. This train tracks were under under 4 ft of water or more a week ago. I know, my truck was completely submerged and I had to walk through 1.5 miles of waste deep to knee deep flood waters to get from 661 to the train tracks. It sucked!

Arcadia has always gotten hit bad from hurricanes for some weird reason. A tornado came like 5/6 years ago and blew the roof of the Oak Park Inn. Former owner was a friend & he had no windstorm insurance & ended up losing most of everything he worked his entire life for. He was elderly & in poor health to top it off. It's the only Inn on Main Street & Downtown Arcadia. Ranches surrounding are in the multi millions because they are cattle barons ( great history here). The citrus groves are the largest in FL. They export worldwide too. Huge Mexican community & great food.

Why are you making fun of people in Arcadia in reference to Publix and Starbucks. Shame on you. I saw an earlier KZfaq you did after Ian and thought wow these folks are interesting, But not when you start judging others.

DOn't get a travel trailer. Get a Sprinter type instead. This damage is the reason why. Smalller is best.

But most news coverage seems to focus on Sanibel island and Ft Myers. If they are using drones there is no real reason why coverage is so limited.

Arcadia is 50 miles into the state. No community is safe.

In particular the ones near lakes and rivers. Only it's 26 miles from Port Charlotte up the river to Arcadia. But I'm outside of Ocala, which IS 50 miles from the Gulf, and the retaining ponds are starting to make me paranoid.
