Silco is a rare breed of an antagonist. That scene was intense and emotional.

silco was 100% aiming at vi, he actually even shot at her but missed. the scene after jinx calms down shows the pistol smoking and a hole next to vi's head in her chair.

I fully believe that Silco would NEVER given Jinx up. He cares for her in his own way. While I don't justice Silco's actions, I don't consider Silco the "bad guy" he's just a product of the system and I actually felt sad when he died

That Ekko and Jinx fight scene was epic and impeccable. One of the best animated fight scenes ever. Pure jouissance as I watched paused and rewound it several times like “THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!”.

This show is not affraid to go there. I think one fine example is when Jayce kills the child and Vi tells him how that death is nothing compared to all the deaths and she refers to those who die in the hands of Silco, shimmer, the council, the enforcers, etc. To let Jayce know that he had blood in his hands before he attacked the facility and that in a way that wasn't his first kill. On the third part we get to see how morally grey all the characters are. Silco wasn't a completely evil person, Jayce isn't completely good and everybody else. These characters are complex. Even Heimerdinger and Vander who had good intentions but by being inactive and complacent they were instrumental in the systematic oppressions and cruelty towards some people.

best show I've seen in awhile. Jinx steals every scene she's in.

This show was absolutely breathtaking, tense, well written, great action, and incredible animation

Jinx relationship with Silco just kept me so interested and helped show that he and Vander weren't that different

The most heartbreaking part for me was Jinx's disappointment at the end when she realizes Vi only wants Powder, but her life so far doesn't allow her to revert to Powder anymore, hence they can never get back together. Vi actually pushes her sister away twice, once when she abandons Powder, and another time when she makes it clear she only wants Powder when there is now only Jinx.

Season 2 was just announced on Riot’s stream! Can’t wait to see more of the story!

Silco was the first and only person to stand up for jinx, even if her actions backfired. He always relied on her. He loved her. “You are perfect”🥺

i just REALLY hope Vi and Jinx can reconcile at some point, but im afraid that rocket attack (potentially killing Caitlyns mother) is a point of no return for their relationship, really hope not though

I don't believe a second that Silco would have aimed at Jinx. She is the only one, I genuinely believe, he would sacrifice his life for. He wanted just to make Vi stop talking but he underestimated the bond that Jinx still has to Vi. Jinx may let her go or she escapes but Jinx will blame Silcos death on her and that's probably the end of Vi's belief to bring Powder back. What will be left are enemies of them. I feel that Medara, Jayce, and Victor will be saved by Medarda. It looks like she was about to create a force field. But the others in the back who are further away may get killed. Definitely an intriguing series so far. I played lol for 7 years before I stopped 2 years ago. I knew it has an amazing lore. But I would have never guessed that they would nail an adaptation of it so well.

"Subtly hinted" that Caitlyn and Vi might end up together...? *Vi checks Caitlyn out, pushes her against a wall, says "You're hot, cupcake! So what'll it be? Man or woman?" The two very nearly kiss after Vi wakes up from her near-death experience. Lingering glances, extended hugs, spending an entire scene in bed together while talking about their feelings and goals. Situational voice lines in the game very clearly portray them as a couple. Jinx literally calls them girlfriends.* Sure. Subtle.

I am not a LOL fan, however this show really surprised me. I had high expectations and they delivered. The animation and the storyline were just amazing. I just knew there was going to be a season 2 and it was just announced today! So excited to see how the war is going to go about and interesting to learn more about the LoL lore.

In any case, Jinx launching that rocket into the Council's "headquarters" is a pretty clear and good excuse for war to break out between the two regions. Not to mention Mel, a Noxian and the daughter of a high ranking official, being present/a target of the attack giving Noxus reason to involve themselves militarily with Zaun. Piltover is also a major shipping route and trade hub for Runterra so other nations may also be inclined to take a more active role in intervening in Piltover's conflict with Zaun.

I'm not even a gamer but I really enjoyed this show. The characters are well-written.

The one who shot Silco is Powder not Jinx, she wants to protect VI and that's her last act before Jinx take over completely.

Cute easter egg I noticed: when Jayce wanted to commit suicide, Victor was there to save him. And now, when he tried to kill himself, Jayce was there. True friendship

The quality of season 1 is so mind-blowing, all I wish is for them to keep the same standards, even if it takes many years. Rushing a season 2 by lowering the quality would be a big disappointment.

You could just feel the work that was put into the show and whoever does Jinx voice should get an award

Theory: If you ever noticed the crows around jinx, observing her, spying.. possibly whispering to her even? Could be swains crows and he is also the powerful Noxian man that killed Mel's brother for crossing him? Him observing from a far with his crows, slowly taunting jinx into insanity in hopes of the outcome of how season 1 ended, forcing an avenging war against Piltover/Zaun for Mel's death, through her mother. Swain ends up becoming a grand general, and it wouldn't surprise me if this is how. A country built on war, lives for war and he's the strategist who makes the moves so they/he can conquer lands for their riches, such as hextech.

They mentioned Mel's brother's name it was Kino not Jae. Plus Jae is heir apparent to a Medarda in Piltover not Noxus. I def think Mel might be part Solari/Targon because she was wearing clothing that looked like Solari as a kid. Her gold glowing might be her using an ability that will save herself, Jayce, and Viktor. Jayce and Viktor are seated next to her so something needs to able to save them since they would be 2 close to the blast. I do expect Mel or Viktor to be injured so that we have a reason for Jayce to not destroy the hexcore.

It’s not just the best video game adaptation, it’s one of the best animated shows period. And this was only the first season. If they manage to keep up that momentum (and I honestly think they can) then this could very well turn into my favorite animated show of all time, maybe even my favorite show. I know that’s super high praise, but I honestly believe it. The only thing I’m kind of worried about is that they might end up rushing it, but I heard they were already working on season 2 before all of season 1 was released so hopefully that’s a good sign

I predict that Heimerdinger is going to die by the Hexclaw. In Episode 4, Viktor tried to use the Hex claw to carve a picture of Heimerdinger, but accidentally cut off the top right side of the stone block. This could probably be foreshadowing of Heimerdinger's death.

A theory of mine: I have a feeling that Oriana may be Singed's daughter because in Arcane he did say "I once had a daughter too" and why would he look at the picture if it wasn't a member of his family? And I think he lost his daughter and he thought she was dead but actually maybe she is not and I think she will be a new character of Arcane Season 2 so I have this feeling that Oriana may be his daughter. The amount of swag all of these characters have on the show is what really sold me, also the story and visuals. But just a walk, a look, the tilt of a head, or the they they sit or move...amazing

I think Riot's hit a gold mine here and looking forward to Season 2. The way this was written I can even imagine a standalone movies or Marvel / DC - like franchise

Mel's plates seem to be underneath her dress, and the camera goes through the trouble of x-raying her dress to show us the plates and how they glimmer. It seems highly unlikely that they're just decorative.

Mel has an aura of a game character. The design for her is just magnificient. I'm an LoL player, but I was startled the moment I saw her. I thought she was a new character that I had missed. Would love to have mel as a new game character 👀👀 (if she actually survived the rocket).

It looked like Sky was absorbed by the Hex Core, empowering it further. The Core also seems to have power over Viktor. The scene played out like the core stopped him from smashing it and then took away Viktors improved health as a punishment.

I find it interesting that so many recurring themes in the series are family, love and loyalty. The plot of the show mostly revolved around them. Vi's repeated betrayal in Jinx's eyes is what drove her to become Jinx. It was her conflicted feelings about those between Vi and Silco, whom she both loved but didn't know who she could trust that lead to the ending and her fully embracing Jinx. As far as Ekko's references go, in the fight between him and Jinx on the bridge they showed a flashback to when they used to spar as kids. It seems he used to use it to time himself, trying to get to her before she could hit him with her gun. He smashed it as a kid, but kept it still. I'd say that's an obsession with time that he has. And his lore shows he invented the z-drive as a way to undo mistakes he made and save people he wasn't able to save. Also the case he carried the hextech gem in looked similar to the z-drive case. I think he'll show up at some point in season 2 with it. When it comes to the council and the rocket attack, that's obviously going to cause a huge stir. I think most of the council will wind up dying. We know that Jayce and Victor survive because they are champions. The explosion will probably trigger the final stage of Viktor's Glorious Evolution. He's still linked to the Hextech core. Possibly the reaction with the rocket's hextech explosive and mutated body parts will be enough counter force to save Jayce. Or maybe Mel has some hidden powers that will protect them. It seems odd that they would introduce Mel's mother, have all the lore with them, including a hanging threat towards the Merdada family and then kill her. It's possible she dies, but I don't think it too likely. The other councilors though... I think they'll either die, or be so badly injured as to be out of comission. In season two we'll see some changes... With Jayce possibly the only surviving councilor let and no Sherriff, I think he'll appoint Caitlyn to the role. She doesn't have the experience, but with the recent revelation that Marcus was in Silco's pocket for years, he'll want someone he knows absolutely isn't compromised. That would be Caitlyn. And her #1 priority would be to stop Jinx. Who I very much doubt is just going to be quiet after this. The voice over for the season 2 announcement included Vi wanting to go after 'her' alone, Caitlyn wanting to work with someone and Jinx saying she was glad it was 'you' that came after her. The 'you' could only be Vi... So I think this is how Vi will become an Enforcer, to work alongside the new Sherriff of Piltover to bring in Jinx, who's going to go full terrorist. The last act of the council was to agree to the formation of the nation of Zaun. But Silco's dead, so who would lead it? Sevika? Maybe, she was one of the two people Silco trusted. The remaining chem barons will probably fight over who is in charge now. So the situation of Zaun is probably going to be so much worse than before, with near or open warfare. And probably the person who killed Mel's brother will show up at some point. That is a plot thread dropped late and still hanging at the end.

I think Mel's armor will protect her while Victor will use his shimmer/hex power to move fast enough to save Jayce.

The fight between Powder and little man Eko was awesome

Just finished last episode today. Wow. Without question greatest video game adaptation ever. That season was more gripping and well written than most live action shows. Real characters with complex personalities and motivations.. Nobody is black or white but shades. Who are the heroes and villains isn't easy to answer.

Dude, Viktor can't die - he has plot armor! He has to initiate his ''glorious evolution''!

haven't had a show made me feel like this in a LONG LONG time. The characters, plot, dialogue, voice acting, art style, details, landscapes, music were absolutely beautiful to say the least. I began watching solely on artstyle and music and it did not disappoint, so happy i did watch it and really excited for season 2 :D

Mel most likely has a unique ability that protects her. After rewatchhing the last few seconds, I see that the gold shining on her was not from the rocket it was from mel herself! Also remember that they're all sitting in chairs with tall backs. There's no way she would've seen the rocket if she turned , but whatever that gold things is on her back helped her sense the rocket was coming. And if I'm not mistaken, there was a scene where mel was woken up from her sleep, like she sensed something

I'm really digging the theory thag Mel is going be a champion soon. That last scene with gold in her back is indicating she has powers. We all know Jayce, Viktor and Caitlyn's mom are gonna survive (according to Caitlyn's lore).

You forgot to include that Viktor augmented parts of his body already, so the hexcore could end up saving his life instead of having his body disintegrated by the Jinx blast.

I cant tell you how much I fell in love with Vi! Such a stunning character, so good! All those scenes where she is fighting, talking in the deepest voice, amazing!! Strong, independent, inteligent, fearless woman, breathtaking! 🥰

I am 100% convinced that Mel either is wearing some enchanted armor with magical properties that will protect her and people near her from the rocket explosion, or that she has magical powers. There are two key reasons why : 1. Jayce and Viktor are sitting right next to her, and we know that they can't die because they are champions in the game. Given everything we know about the hextech gem and Jinx's abilities at building explosives, this rocket should at least blow up half the building. So unless some kind of magical plot device occurs, there is no way this rocket just blows up the building without somehow killing 2 characters that we know cannot die storyline-wise. Mel having powers or magical artifacts is one of the only ways they can possibly survive the situation they are in. 2. It would be very expected of Riot to try and invest people into a character in the show, and then release them as a champion in the game to attract a lot of new players from the hype. The only non-champion characters that have had a lot of backstory and screentime invested into them are Silco and Mel. We know that Riot briefly considered making Silco into a new champion (from Riot employee posts on the forums), but they decided not to because he has no combat abilities to justify him being in a Moba. Mel still has a lot of mystery surrounding her, and clearly a huge amount of effort has gone into her visual design and story. It just wouldn't make much sense for them to kill off the only new character that they have invested effort in.

I was surprised by how well written this show was. Nobody is really two dimensional - even Silco is revealed to be a complex character and the scene of his death was tragic. That said, I expect the rest of the series to follow on LoL's primary lore, with all of the introduced characters' stories eventually intertwining. ... The man who gave Jayce the gem stone was heavily implied to be Ryze and he plays a significant role on LoL lore. Also, Runes and Magic have been established via Jayce and Viktor's tales, the emergence of Hextech and Heimerdinger's flashback or vision, when he warned them to destroy the Hexcore. It is implied that Heimerdinger was remembering events of the Rune Wars... and if we're getting flashbacks of this and foreshadowing of things to come via Hextech, magic and the runes ... It's safe to assume that the Void and Celestials will eventually come into play as well. But we're likely a few seasons away from this. I expect Season 2 to continue where Season 1 left off. Ekko will likely be the one to save the Council and Viktor will also play a role in saving Jayce (yet again) ... thus cementing him on the dark path we know he will eventually fall to. Season 2 will see the formation of Zaun, the Warwick reveal, Ekko's signature weapon, Heimerdinger joining the fray as the tinkerer he is, Jayce becoming the champion we know and so forth. I think from there, we'll follow events on Noxus and possibly Demacia as well... Either towards the tail end of S2 or going into S3. That's when we'll start following Darius, Garen and crew. Here's to hoping the series remains good and successful so we can have several more seasons! Seriously, I applaud the writing and the animation is refreshing.

The second before the first “bomb” exploded Mylo managed to free Vander and Claggor managed to destroy the wall for them to escape. If Jinx hadn’t been there they would all survive. The same thing happened in the last scene of the show. The second before Jinx’s “shark bomb” hit the city all of the counselors had agreed to make peace with Zaun. We can clearly see Mel raising her hand in last and then the bomb appearing behind her. Once more, hadn’t Jinx exploded the bomb everyone would be fine - not only alive but at peace and with Zaun and Piltover becoming two different cities, just like Silco wanted. Sorry for any mistakes in my english, I’m brazilian.

Yow...Netflix gets a big W with this one! The characters, the storyline, the artistry, and dont even get me started on the sound track 🔥🔥🔥🔥 this is the only series i watch that i dont skip the intro and i sing alone every time. I dont see Arcane going anywhere for now and i cannot wait for season 2. And its not just the visuals and the sounds but the way the story is told. That fight scene with Jinx vs Echo...that flashback of their childhood game right b4 the face off was simply poetic. Did i say i cant wait for season 2??...cass i really cant wait for season 2 🙌🙌🙌

Personally I think it's also a possibility that jinx's rocket sets back time somehow. Either that or heimerdinger helps Ekko create a device to alter time, and allows them to alter the explosion to before it even happens. There's lots that could happen which makes it so cool!

6:58 i dont think that's Silco's intention. Vi keeps on mentioning names that triggers Jinx's PTSD in an attempt to get Powder back. Vi probably dont know that those names are connected to Jinx's bad memories instead of good. Silco's stopping her cuz he knows hearing those names will hurt and trigger Jinx. And an opinion , i dont think he manipulated Jinx. If any of you are against what i said or wanna correct me if i said something wrong, feel free to try and change my mind and correct me but please be nice :>

This show really was a breath of fresh air. Personally, I have a hard time enjoying shows because of self awareness but this one is interesting in how well certain themes and explanations were shown.

I just want to see Cait and Vi both as a love couple and work partners. The chemistry they have is perfect.

This show taught me a lot, it's so breathtakingly beautiful, Silco and Vander weren't even that different, Vi only wanted Powder when Jinx and Powder were two sides of the same coin... The relationships, stories, pain, sadness and cruelty in this show was just made so well. Through this whole show I hoped that we could finnaly have Powder back, just the way Vi did. But you can see the pain in Jinx' face as glowing tear treaks down her cheeks. She pulls the trigger knowing that nothing will ever be the same,as the rocket flies through the city of Pitlover we see it is headed straight for Mel and as the glass shatters, we are left with a cliffhanger, just like in episode one, Powder... Has jinxed everything... once again

Caitlyn I think will be like Vi from season 1. She will go on to hunt down Jinx. Cause her mother will most likely die from that explosion. This will affect her relationship with Vi. That or they will become partners like in the lore. Since Vi now realizes she needs to put down powder(or if she becomes an enforcer, arrest her) Heimerdinger might help ekko discover his time manipulation ability. Viktor might survive but will need cybernetics

I both dread and anxiously await for the Viktor transformation into Machine Herald in season 2. I know it's going hurt, we're kind half way there already and I'm curling into a ball, but if they manage to handle his turn with half the delicacy they put into Jinx's I know its going to be awesome to watch.

Well I believe the only survivor from the rocket will be Jayce. You know Medarda's mother wanted to begin a war agains Zaun and what best reason to do it if her child was murdered by that attack.

It would be crazy if Fish Bones used Shimmer in it to turn everyone on the council into monsters. I don't expect all of them to die. Definitely not Jayce or Mel. But I DO expect Mrs. Kiraman to die. That gives Caitlyn plenty of reason to keep pursuing Jinx and have Vi become an enforcer to help her.

One of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Very few books or shows, movies etc. have had me this invested in the characters. Not to say it's the best thing ever made, but this really had it all.

I think silco saw and expected jinx to be someone that would never betray him or he projected himself on jinx since in a way jinx felt like Vi left her. Thats why he kept her and didn't want Vi to take her away. Since he got betrayed by vander once.
