Archaeopteryx glider: Second flight full length and uncut

After my first flight, I had the opportunity for a seconds, a bit longer flight. This footage is the raw, nearly uncut version of the flight. Unfortunately, the battery ran out of power, those the landing is not on the footage.

Congratulations on a beautiful aircraft and how smoothly you fly it. The vibration throughout the powered stage, is it a result of an imbalanced propeller? Thanks for showing this on KZfaq.

Yes. There are technical challenges (charging batteries in between flights) but otherwise yeah, it should be doable.

What does the beeping sound mean?

During take-off engine on and during flight it indicates gain of energy (lift, i.e. variometer)

The higher the pitch of the beeping the more climb he's getting from the thermal. Also notice the bump in altitude he got just before he shut down the motor. He felt the thermal, but used the variometer to stay inside of it, and know when the air was no longer rising. This is the best way to stay in the air for a motor glider since you maximize the time in the air, and save engine power for landing.

man I thought that I would love to do this but the bed sound is fu fukcin annoying like fukcin heck, is there no better solution than that annoying assss sound
