Before the orthopedic doctor say i need surgery they usually do a X-ray to see if there are any osteochondromas

When I go for pre op appointments for the types of surgeries that I have i have blood drawn for a diabetes so the anesthesiologists can have the results of the blood draw

I gagged when I saw the silly juice. I’ve had to take it a few times and unfortunately I know what it tastes like and it’s not pleasant.

Does it ever say if the kid will be extubated before waking up? And also will they wake up with a urinary catheter and/or a chest tube or tubes? If yes how long until any tubes other than an iv are removed?

Their surgery team is amazing, I had surgery here in November and it was a great experience.

@@ARelevators i would ask questions about heart surgery in kids (i would ask a younger kid who had had it) if you did have it there. I'm not scheduled for it , but would just want to ask how long it did it take to get off the ventilator and how long after that to that to the room with the nurse in the nurse's station and did you wake up intubated (if yes , how long after you woke up before you where off the breathing machine) , how long was your hospital stay in total and did you wake up with a urinary catheter and/or a chest tube ,if yes , how long between when you woke up and the chest tube and/or urinary catheter was/where removed? And in the room with the nurse in the nurse's station , is that where both parents could sleep with you , and could you turn out the lights except when your night shift nurse came in to check on you and could you see any lights from the hallways? Out of curiosity.

that is the goofy juice kicking in. the important part there is comfort, which the goofy juice helps with, and not to worry about looking silly.

If it has liquid benadryl, midazolam or lorazepam, common sedatives, they are both incredibly bitter. Kids sometimes need exact amounts of medication based on weight & liquid forms are easier to measure. The red goofy juice is likely midazolam & / or benadryl.

The video gives the impression that the kid will be fully clothed during preparation and procedure, which is not true, In reality very little of the preparation process is actually shown,

Need to change into the hospital gown put a hospital sock draw a blood from your arm put a iv put a small tape so the iv will not come day need to put a seat belt what kind surgery he having the is funny holding hands day can help them self a cup of coffee out
