Nice blogs Architect Ed.Na amaze ako sa blog mo tungkol sa yero .Naalala ko ang Tatay ko (RIP) ,dakilang karpentero ang tawag ko.50+yrs na bahay namin sa awa ng Diyos dipa nagigiba .Dumaan ang mga bagyo at lately earthquake sa Abra nandon parin buo parin bahay namin. Yero po dingding at naniniwala ako matibay amg pundsyon dahil yun ang tanging ginawan niya ng paraan na kahit mahirap at konti lang kita niya bilang karpentero hindi niya tinipid ang pondasyon.

Jacinto roofing ang ginamit ko sa pag tayo ng clinic.. Frame steel, walls and roof... I designed it myself and supervised while building it.. I live in Minglanilla Cebu City ..After the typhoon Odette my Dental Clinic is the ONLY structure in my area that has NO damage at all. All the houses including mine has sustained damages. People kept asking how come my Dental clinic is standing and No damage at all..

Kuya, ang problema ay matibay nga pero hindi magtatagal dahil baka kalawangin . Sabagay pwede naman palitan. Kaya lang hindi ka makakatipid sa maintenance after 20 years ay bulok na? Ang Isa pang pwedeng maging problema ay baka madaling pasukin ng mga insekto at mga daga…. Kung hindi perfectly fit ang mga sidings o walls.

Lagi namin naririnig commercial nila about this sa 100.3 radio station haha. Question sir ed, paano naman yung sound proofing nya? Halimbawa kung yung 2 bedroom magkatabi paano yung divider? Sound proof po ba? May privacy pa po ba?

Sa klase po ng insulation na gagamitin which is cellulose fiber, masosolve po yung problem na iyon. Basta palalagyan nyo po kasi optional po iyon.

Architect Ed... I am planning to do a no-wood house with strong steel framing even for walls. Cladding / Exterior Walls will be Steel Roofing Material with pre-attached thick PU Insulation. Perimeter (.6m) foundation wall will be strong 6" CHB on strong foundation upon which steel runners and studs (framing will be anchored).. Interior walls will again be steel framed partitions with Gypsum or Fibre Cement... I think this can be a cool (literally) house with strength against typhoons and termites.

Mukhang ok yung ganito sa moderate na commercial space n rental. Small houses ok din dahil practical. Pero kapag 50sq meter above n residential siguro opt ako s concrete pa rin. Opinion ko lang. let me know your opinions; BTW jacinto steel subok n matibay yan

Ensure that the Bahay na Yero was designed safe and stable. You have to consider the load, seismic and the wind pressure applies to the building.

Hi po architect ed. Out of topics po itong tanung ko sa vlog video mo but gusto ko lng po humingi ng advice kung anung dapat gawin kapag ang building is naitayo na kahit wala pang house plan at building permit. Now iniisip ko na kuhanan ng building permit. Pero andito po kami sa abroad parihas mag asawa. Anu po ang dapat namin gawin. Para maging legal ung bahay na pinapatayo namin. Small earner lng po kami dito sa abroad kaya pa uni unti lng po ung building ng bahay namin. Pa advice nman po. Thanks in advance. And God bless po.

It's always possible to build a house or structure made of all steel from roof down to walls . The problem with GI roof is rust after several years and rust again if used in external walls exposed to weather. Other metals should be given attention for resistance against rust. Steel framed houses are still superior to wooden houses. Steel framed houses will need architect and structural engineer. This type of houses are not for do it yourselfers.

Thanks a kot po. Am considering coz I had to sell my house in 2009 due to family emergency. Am thinking of buildimg a new one but financial constraints is one of d primary consideration. But may I ask, is d foundation for this type of house imbedded on the ground so it will be a strong foundation?

D kya fire hazard ang wall material , nabanggit na paper mache material sya, at dahil majority of the materials used at bakal sana navigyan ng daan kung ilan taon sya pde tumagal this is another big thing to consider. Earthquake proof din kya tulad ng ibang pre fab house company? But it's nice to know meron na other alternatives. I hope makaron ng part 2 pra mas malinawan ntin lahat durability aspect . Tnx
