Just sitting underneath Lever House gives you a sense of it's important place in NYC building design. Still can't believe they took down the UC building. I only found out about that at the time when my daughter was attending Fordham at Lincoln Center. One of her professors was to take the class out to see the building before the demolition. She had no idea what the building was but was surprised I did.

The MTA official who gave us a preview of the expansion of tracks below Grand Central PROUDLY declare that Union Carbide was the tallest purposefully done demolition project in the world. Are you in the building industry?

@@architecturecodex9818 No sir. I am just from the area and a lover of NYC architecture. Esp. Mid-Century design. I can stare at it for days. I always tell people who miss "old NYC" is to actually "look up", you will see it. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
