Adam Campbell’s life has revolved around motion. As one of the world’s top ultra runners, his mantra has been simple: ‘If you’re not moving, you’re dead’. This life of movement came to an abrupt halt on August 30th, 2016, when he experienced a near fatal accident while attempting a traverse through Roger’s Pass in BC, with runners Nick Elson and Dakota Jones. Grabbing a loose rock hold, Adam tumbled nearly 100 feet, sustaining 4 broken vertebrae, a crushed iliac crest and deep lacerations to the bone.
Having a body now supported with titanium rods and screws, Adam begins to question the integrity of his athletic future.
Ten months later, while searching for the athlete he once was, Adam finds himself at the start line of the Hardrock 100, a hundred mile ultra race he medalled at in the past. It’s within these hundred miles that Adam discovers what he’s looking for won’t be found on the results board.

What a great job Cameron did following my son's journey of recovery. This documentary is very emotional for me to watch and is extremely well done. Thanks Cameron for avoiding blood in the surgical shots. I have been to many of Adam's races, but was not able to be there for his Hard Rock come back - a race I would love to have been at. I will be forever grateful to Nick, Dakota and all the search and rescue people and medical professionals for such a good outcome and to my amazing daughter-in-law for being such a rock through all of this.

NOT EVERYONE OUT OF THOSE MILLION PEOPLES WHO HAVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO , WAS/IS CAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING THE EMOTIONS THAT CAME OUT OF ADAM'S WORDS , IF YOU DID , IF YOU HAD THE CHILLS THROUGH YOUR SPINE , THIS IS A REASON TO MOVE , THIS IS WHY ONE SHOULD BE " IN CONSTANT MOTION" .

Wow, powerful video. His comments really hit a cord with me. "When you untie you laces, life still happens". For a sport obsessed person, thats probably just what I need to hear. Thank you.

Fantastic. I’m struggling returning to ultra’s and indeed just running after an ankle injury from botched Osteopath treatment. Been a long road, I was never at your level but same love for the sport so your story and film has helped me. Thanks.

I had heard about your accident Adam, and read a little about your recovery online. What a tremendous accomplishment. In a life spent engaged in sport, this may not be your best placing but surely it is one of the most meaningful. All the best, to you and your family.
