Arctic Monkeys is definitely the shit. This is probably my favorite track off their debut. The have transformed so much since the early days when this was released; but I love just about everything they do. You want some serious contrast? Check out "One Point Perspective" or "Four Out of Five" from their new LP. If you wanna play it safe and follow the same vibe, try "Brianstorm" or "This House is A Circus"... or maybe "Still Take You Home". They're a bit of a ride. Nearly every album is different from the last.

Probably my fav song of theirs. Their first two albums fucking amazing. Arctic Monkeys, and especially the singer, have been heavily influenced by hip hop, and you can tell by the way he writes his lyrics. Some others you might enjoy: Leave Before the Lights Come On (cool video aswell), Brianstorm, Teddy Picker, A Certain Romance. The song itself is simply about a night out from the perspective of a teenager in England.

I've only just discovered the Arctic Monkeys. Loved Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Has a real David Bowie feel to it.

This is a really good album in general I recommend teddy picker or crying lighting those two are pretty good as well

The song is basically a vignette about going to a club, and then the aftermath - how you can do things on a night out that you would never do on a normal day, that girl you kissed would never have done that sober, and that moment where, having been talking shit with someone all night, either drunk or stoned, you start to sober up and that shit you were talking just sounds like shit and you realise it wasn't actually profound, but rather you were just off your head.

Great reaction man. Alex Turner's flow is definitely influenced by hip-hop, I know they were big fans of Roots Manuva and other rappers before starting the band

His hip-hop backgrnd is based on Roots Manuva and other UK artist. They did a track with Dizzee Rascal two, two versions of it.

They're not actully usually free style, but are rehearsed, but much of solos with guitar are off the cuff so to speak. Drum solos, bass, guitar, etc in metal bands are cool as hell, or dope!! The song is about trying to get into a nightclub and reminiscing the morning after about what they should have said to the bouncers who kicked them out. Lyrics are hilarious if you can understand them (written as a teenager, so simply writing what they knew about at the time. Nights out in their local town) Music surrounding it is so good though that anyone can appreciate the song.
