I am a nurse working in an homeless shelter and can say i do see these refugees coming in to Toronto on a daily basis. This is a sad case. I put the question out there back in july 2023 asking what is happening in africa especially Kenya that is creating this mass wave of people coming in and no answer. I've met a nurse and a fashion designer from kenya and an accountant from nigeria all now sorry for leaving their countries to now live and sleet on the streets. Today is September 9th and i can tell you i walked pass many of these refugees in the lobby of the shelter while leaving work this morning. We will never learn or understand what is at play here. Yes, many are claiming they are part of the LGBTQ but other's are also claiming they are fleeing from domestic abuse. All other nations come here seeking refugee status in Canada and received help so what happen to us black people. Never heard anything like this in all my 25yrs living here in Toronto Canada. I pray other african who are thinking to come would see these videos and stay the hell where they are. Absolutely nothing to see over here. Thanks for sharing truth i pray this videos goes far and wide.

Wow! I love how Oshay TRIED to steer the conversation towards the real issue which is WHY people are fleeing their home country, and Gabs masterfully turned it back away from the priviledge and corruption that benefits the few. When your own family took you away to give you better oportunity then I guess you can't really knock people trying to get out by any means necessary, but its mighty WYT to come back and enjoy life in the same conditions that cause people to flee and be like 🤫 and deflect, deflect, defelect when the subject comes up. Oshay is absolutely right...and the other guests... I know for a fact that we Africans who capitalize on any tragic/trouble/crises on the continent to flee that lack of opportunities in their country...in the vodeo clip, agreed there are LGBTQ in the crowd, but there's no emergency situation besides common sense laws in any African country regarding the gay. Amnety International, UNO and different NGOs have not talked about it...a bunch of folks in the video clip are not even from the countries that gay laws have been passed. It beggars the question of good governance in Africa as a whole. What a shame on African leaders since post colonial independence. Jah bless y'all.

The issue is actually 3D chess. When I worked for an Agency in the west. I discovered only 3,800 business visas were awarded for the whole African continent. Eritrea had gotten the most visas at 853. This is 2016, Uganda had been awarded 330. China alone had been awarded around 2 million visas. If Africans are to conduct trade but are unable to visit the countries they need to conduct trade. Government ministries are going to agitate the west the only way they know how; "passing laws that the west doesn't agree with". Recently, the west has been investigating East African heads of states family members who routinely travel to the west on diplomatic passports. This has limited the ability to hide funds abroad. African countries also recognize remittance provides valuable foreign currency. The value comes from being able to conduct trade and purchase fuel denominated in ($). Also foreign currency is need for corrupt officials to funnel they're cash out of the country.

Africans missed all the different revolutions like the electric, industrial and the computer Revolution. Education is important. African Governments should be investing into the youthful populations it now has, the youth should be in school and not fighting tribal wars or missing out on school because of pure greed and corruption there is no hope in the older generation to alleviate Africa from poverty as we can all clearly see.

@@tvs9978 in other words it missed out on the Industrial Revolution lol. Post colonisation mainly Asian countries like India took STEM serious and they now have highly skilled industrialised economies. There is no pride in being the countries that simply provided the resources, it’s takes a lot to turn raw materials into steam trains and machines and not simply having resources. Maybe if Africa didn’t have all these resources they would be forced to innovate themselves more.

The fact that a law appears not be under enforcement, does not does not mean its potential dangers are non existent. An unjust and dangerous law has been enacted. No one who feels he or she is potential target of that inhumane law should have to sit around and gamble his or her life. Some people are martyrs, others would rather flee. Many women in the US who resides in states that have enacted anti abortion laws are fleeing those states, even though the full weight those laws haven't been levied. FEAR is the terror.

Gabs didn’t have anything to add to Oshay’s very important points about why Africans are fleeing their continent in droves (due to bad governance), and about the need to address this fast-growing crisis. Instead, Gabs expressed doubts about Uganda having any kind of problems with genuine refugees, because he has never heard of or come across any examples. I’m not surprised. Gabs is from Western Uganda. They (Western Ugandans) have been the rulers of Uganda for nearly 4 decades now and have truly benefited from this uninterrupted domination. Meanwhile just visit Northern and Eastern Uganda to see what total abject poverty all round looks like. It’s heartbreaking. I’m therefore not surprised that ‘patriotic’ Gabs would happily defend HIS Uganda, while totally ignoring the REAL Uganda that millions e.g. in the North and East tragically live through daily. Totally Heartbreaking.

@@tvs9978 There are 2 Ugandas today: the one Gabs ‘loves’ and is always eager to talk about, and the real Uganda that those from the North and East inhabit. Also, there are things that you may not personally experience but it still should be obvious, it should be evident enough to knock you awake to the painful reality of what’s happening in the country you live and profess to ‘love’, especially when those things are happening to a huge majority of fellow Ugandans, whom one assumes Gabs also ‘loves’, regardless of what part of the country they may be from. You cannot fail to notice these things, unless you are totally blind and heartless. It’s telling that an African American who has lived in Uganda for only a few years can see the many problems Uganda is facing, while the ‘native’ who ‘loves’ his country has nothing to say on this topic.

I lived with several Ugandan asylum seekers in Australia. All of them and their friends were playing the gay/lesbian card to get permanent residence. None of them were gay or lesbian. Some of them, to prove their case, pay well known LQBTQ activists for fake refence letters. If I were in their position, I would do the same, most probably, so I can't condemn them. A little discussed side-effect of people having the right to claim asylum in a country means it makes visas very difficult for citizens of country's such as Uganda.

I live in the Greater Toronto Area. Basically there's a housing crisis in Canada and the GTA is where the housing crisis is a worst. Because of the high cost of housing and covid there's a lot more homeless people on the streets and the shelters are filled to the brim. I heard about the way black asylum seekers were being treated badly before it hit the news. It started hitting our mainstream news about 5 weeks ago. I've donated to this cause and I know friends and family who attend black churches in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton which are housing the overflow of asylum seekers. The LGBT angle was never a part of the story until maybe 3 weeks into the mainstream media coverage of the story so yes most of these people aren't gay and aren't calming to be gay. It's funny because there was a story in Canada where something like 30 LGBT people from Barbados applied for refugee status and Canada denied them all except 2. Canada and the west like to attacks African and Caribbean countries about this but at the same time they wont give refugee status to gay blacks.

The economic atmosphere in the West isn't what it used to be anymore. It isn't what it used to be in the last 20-25 years. People get it twisted based on what they see on the TVs and in movies, aside from the amenities such as good roads, pipebon water and transportation, most of the other things ain't used to be what it is. Housing now in the UK is like going through a eye of the needle to get, it's gone left to the point a landlord has the right and must vet one's legal status in the country before he or she would rent out just a room in his or her property to you. Otherwise he or she will be breaking the law and could go to prison and get fined or both for renting out his or her property to an none legal immigrant. So, it isn't that greener on the other side as it was before. ( and this not saying anyone who wants to move to the west shouldn't)

One thing I'll never understand about when Oshay says don't contact him. What's the point of having the info if you shun those that want to communicate with you?

Could you please let me know why you're fighting me on this? I can't stress enough how important it is for a country to manufacture its own goods even if it's inferior to the other brands. Only the first-world economy shouldn't be worried about competition. Their brand is solid. You can't have an economy without goods and services. Selling your natural resources is not an economy. The basic premise of the economy is trading interests, and if you don't have goods to change, you don't have an economy, period. The next is power and most good use power to create and use. Manufacturing plays a crucial role in a country’s economy for several reasons. Firstly, it contributes to a nation’s gross domestic product (GDP), measuring a country’s economic performance. Manufacturing activities create value-added products and services, generating income and economic growth. Secondly, manufacturing provides employment opportunities. It creates jobs for skilled and unskilled workers, reducing unemployment rates and improving people’s standard of living. A strong manufacturing sector also stimulates job growth in other industries, such as transportation, logistics, and services. Additionally, manufacturing facilitates innovation and technological advancement. It drives research and development, improving productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. Countries that invest in manufacturing often experience technological progress, which allows them to produce higher-quality goods and remain competitive in the global market. Moreover, a vibrant manufacturing sector promotes export growth and trade balance. Countries that make and export manufactured goods can generate foreign exchange, improve their trade balance, and strengthen their position in the global economy. This helps generate revenue and increase the country’s competitiveness internationally. Lastly, manufacturing contributes to regional development and infrastructure growth. Industrial zones and manufacturing plants attract investments, leading to infrastructure development like transportation networks, power supply systems, and communication networks. Such infrastructure development has positive spillover effects on other sectors of the economy, supporting overall economic development. In summary, manufacturing is crucial for a country’s economy as it contributes to GDP, employment, technological advancement, export growth, and regional development. It enhances the overall economic well-being and competitiveness of a nation.

I still dont think you get it. Nobody cares if people are gay, they are not being hunted and shot down in the streets like the western narrative portrays, they do not have the huge numbers in their lifestyle like they want the world to believe. Simply by being human they enjoy the same human rights as other human beings. The West will take the best and brightest from that group and some of the best and brightest will pretend to be gay in order to escape to places where their talent, skills, and intelligence will be recognized and benefit them. Those countries are not taking them for their gayness, that is worthless to them they will only accept those that can bring something of value to that country.
