Here is a way to test if your new Hunter Boots are warm enough for snow and low temps.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION, you helped with the debate, if I should get the insulated boot and if even with the boot sock, would it add warmth. lol I guess not.

Thanks for tuning in LaFiera. That's right, don't count on them for warmth in cold climates, but do count on them for great waterproof qualities and utility in more temperate weather.

What about the sorrels? All my sorrels always break at the heel and I'm struggling to find a good boot!

An interesting test. However, the movement factor is not taken into account. Best for a walk. The material of the socks is also important.

How did the Sorel boots fair in the ice bucket?

I haven't tried it, but that's a great suggestion. My Sorel boots are 10 years old, and the rubber shell is starting to crack, so I need patch that before I can do such a test. Thanks for your thoughts. Stay tuned.

I have tried the Sorels out in the winter in a half frozen stream. They did not cool out I was so amazed. And I was in there for quite a long time, my feet stayed warm and cozy.

Pretty simple to figure out , not only with the appliance ice cubes which means not as really cold as a actual ice berg you know where that is , anyway Simple More about fashion and way less about actual warmth and non of the buyers would ever Go near any of the Polar regions on earth like the south pole & north pole , Plus even a men's Hunter winter boot is a Joke All polyester and Plastic even a liner may be only good for -20 without Non Wool sock. Compared to Baffins stupidly ridiculous tested in the north pole But you pay for that at the consumer market customer end with prices reaching $400cnd. I just bought the Impact camo at $280cdn & tried them for a 2 hour round trip in -7 degrees in just fallen snow slush and ice & there too bulky on foot for my liking , one short use & that's all it took to find out there the wrong boot for me. Even the 2 New pair of Sorels the Caribou & Conquest l didn't even take them out of Box Returned them immediately after reading Customer's reviews and Quality is Dumbed down since takeover by Columbia from the originator Kaufman Boots. So far it's been a est. $800.00 joyride figuring out these three boots and the decision is still not confirmed which boot I'll pick.
