What actually happened: One of Shad's viewers is a time traveler. Once they saw him say that this thing didn't exist in history, they went back and "invented" it, and started selling them to people in the Renaissance period. A very clever scheme indeed.

Back when I was a bit more suspicious of KZfaq historians in general, I actually avoided this channel a bit, but a few years ago, I saw that you did a whole video on being wrong. That dedication to accuracy and refusal to feed your own pride is why I subscribed and have learned so very much about history. Rest assured, my friends know all about machicolations. You also remind me of the many Christians I know who emphasize humility. All that to say, thank you a thousand times for not only accuracy but a willingness to do entire videos correcting yourself. In my case, it helped someone gain a ton of accurate historical information by learning to trust you.

*SHAD* *OF* *HOUSE* *BROOKS* is He....The One Prophesied about, The Great and Honorable One whom shall removeth thy *LARP* *SWORD* which Hath been Stuck in thy Sword Carriage....... So when all masses were done all the lords (KZfaq viewers) went to behold the *SWORD* *CARRIAGE* and the *LARP* *SWORD* Stuck within thy carriage. And when they saw the scripture (KZfaq video) some assayed (trolled the comments bellow), such as would have been king. But none might stir the *LARP* *SWORD* nor move it. He is not here, said the Archbishop (KZfaq Trolls), that shall achieve the *LARP* *SWORD* but doubt not God will make him.

Watching Shad grow over the past few years has been amazing. From just being more lively, building the castle background, to getting a novel published, to purchasing land to make his dreams come true. It's amazing, and quite heartwarming to he honest

Anyone else be noticing how Shad has gone from a super nerdy dude with a small sword collection to literally a medieval fantasy adventurer with muscle definition, dope armor, and decent skill with a bow? Like, seriously, shad be lookin friggin lit these days. I mean, nerdy shad was cool, too, but hot damn, youre straight up a dnd character, Shad

1:00 I respect people who can easily make that admission when and where it's due. One would be surprised at how that's not as common a thing as it should be. As Aron Ra says "I'd rather suffer the momentary embarrassment of being proven wrong, than to remain wrong and never know it."

A moment of debate... One has to wonder if too much attention is being directed towards the *accuracy* of being labeled Historically Accurate. You could argue that if basic concept of the carriage was present at the time, then any form thereof might be considered as accurate provided the craftsmen were prone to embellishment. More often than otherwise, any given society had to have all of their goods personally manufactured which would have led to a generalization of such products as functionality would have been of higher concern than embellishments. That said, there are always those who are willing to go the extra mile in order to stand out from the crowd and would have cause to produce/request more intricate and detailed products.

It speaks to your character that you are willing to hear the opinions of others, research it, and find out that you're wrong and then admit it. Well done! This isn't even the first time you've done it. This also goes a long way in establishing your credibility.
