Does going up in price always mean better?? Glenmorangie Scotch line-up. I'm continuing to take a look at the question of whether it's always rewarding to buy the more expensive offerings. I looked at Glenmorangie 10, 12, 14, Nector D'Or, 18 Extremely Rare, and Signet! They ran from $30 to over $300.

You are correct in pronouncing the name. Many years ago I was given a bottle in a presentation box. The box contained an explanation for the name and it was described as the fruit, as in Glenn-m-Orange-ie

I have a bottle of signet on the go at the moment and it is so good, I need to pick up another bottle but the price keeps going up

Can’t stand the 10, but the 14 Port is decent. I definitely prefer Islay whisky.

The 10 is $55 in Australia. Stupidly high tax but an enjoyable drink nonetheless

I’ve had the nectar one and it didn’t strike my fancy. My pallet hasn’t really developed a love for scotch yet tho.

I didn't find the Nector D'or to be a favorite of the line either. Try the 12 Lasanta!

If you like Scotch, especially with coffee and chocolate notes, you'll love it. It also depends on if $300 is a lot to you. 🤔

If you love coffee/espresso notes, pull the trigger. I absolutely love this bottle and wouldn’t even 2-1 for the 18. Imo it’s the best stuff they make

Total Wine. You should be able to find them online. (Depending on where you're located)

That’s funny screw off some of these Scottish names are ridiculously hard to pronounce. But yeah some times cost doesn’t matter at all. And we see that in the bourbon industry constantly. Enjoy!!
