First of all, I continue to be stunned by how much I like you as a human being and wish we were friends. Second of all, I am pro AI for things like eye tracking. For my style choices? Please, do not. AI should be aimed at menial tasks -- or the near impossible tasks like seeing something that's moving super fast and reacting equally quick. AI should NOT be aimed at creative tasks.

I think I'm one of the few people who is NOT a fan of AI 😅. I hate how it's now in everything. The environmental impact is well documented, and it's causing us to be stepping back, not forward on helping our planet. I know it's here to stay, but ugh, please enough with the AI companies. (I can hear the OK boomers from here, I know, I know 😂😂😂). Love you, though, Luxeria! And I'm super excited for your new channel 🎉💜.

The rumor mill is going insane on these two cameras. I will be VERY surprised if there's any AI implementation further than improving the autofocus. Canon is notoriously slow to innovate. Unfortunately for me, a Canon user. Let's hope the overheating is finally a thing of the past. The 30 minute record limit was dropped 2/3 years ago. So... give me competitive dynamic range and I'm good.

You know, something that would concern me regarding AI photo processing is the uniformity that might be obvious. I do wildlife, macro shots, and atmospheric/astronomical photography, and I really wouldn't appreciate an AI adding more stars, or removing a comet's tail, or changing the color on one scale on a butterfly wing because "it's more aesthetic," or, "it's the wrong color," which of course you covered as I was writing this 😂 I can see it being useful for sports or fast moving subjects, and that's fine, but - I don't need a computer programmer's aesthetic opinions.

The AI topic encompasses a lot of different "disciplines", from natural language processing to large language models. I find the use of AI to be interesting and like you said, a supplement and not a replacement. I'm a Software Developer and I use Copilot inside Visual Studio/VS code/WebStorm/Rider as well as the one you see within windows. On top of that we also use AI within our products to help our customers work faster and more naturally. AI (IMO) won't take over, but it will be a staple tool to be used much like a calculator is.

Love the camera talk- the AI stuff I’m a little more picky and on-edge about. I do think AI can be beneficial for certain small tasks (fixing eye contact with the lens on group shots, maybe specific optional filtering or adjusting like making skies more blue instead of desaturated, etc) but I am TIRED of it being shoved into every job and every niche regardless of quality or desire. Like photo editors now being like “we have an AI! Instead of editing your photos you actually took you can just tell it to shove a tiger in the middle and it will invent one!” But I get that’s not the point of this one.

I think part of the reason there's less emphasis on resolution is because adoption rates for 8K are substantially lower at 0.2% than adoption rates were for 4K at 44% and HD at 60% using the UK as an example; so there isn't a market for destination devices that can display it, same reason most manufacturers don't push FPS of video capture beyond 60 to 120 - bar a few niche models specifically designed for high speed shooting. Increasing the resolution of the camera doesn't make much sense if the final destination medium for the content means most of that detail will be lost before it gets to them it might be tempting to make a camera that can shoot 16K video but if nobody has a device to watch videos in that resolution what's the point? As for print media as the final destination again unless the final print is going to be on a very large scale, how much detail do you otherwise need?

My own opinion....I like editing photo's, but I don't like relying heavily on it. I wonder how that works with the first camera? Everything is so edited. Blah!

I love Cannon cameras,I love The Eos series,showing my age I used to have a traditional SLR Cannon camera,thank when digital SLR came into being I made the change to them.and have never looked back.I agree A.I is here to stay and I think it will enhance these new cameras (Matt)P.s I have the R5C too,got it second hand and I love the results it gives me

Very interested to hear your views on this one Luxeria 🧐 AI just seems to be seeping into everything but this might be a positive use….does feel like it kind of takes the “art” out of getting to grips with each camera though 🤷‍♀️ I flip flop between my canon and Nikons and am currently trying to get to grips with a new 80mm lens - hoping it gives me some improved portrait photography and so far I’m loving it ❤
