I plan to retire at 62 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but I'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible.

After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Abby Joseph Cohen. The Supreme Court didn’t change any laws. As far as I understand that they just interpreted the laws that currently exist. If the media want to be mad at somebody, they should be mad at Congress. Personally, I don’t necessarily like it that a president is above the law, but it just needs to be this way.

Yes, SCOTUS ‘re-interpreted’ precedent. But that is, by definition, changing the law.

Congress could have voted to change these laws. They didn’t, which to me sets a precedent that they were perfectly fine with it.

Any President an easily craft a scenario where essentially anything can be framed within the context of a Presidential Act. That's the problem. The Supreme Court just took away the power of We The People and handed it to the government. They've made the President, in effect, a king should a President be so unscrupulous as to take advantage of it. That's only a matter of time, and Trump has already said he would do it. Kiss your ability to vote goodbye. It won't happen overnight, but this is a massive first step.

Yes, but President Trump has been thinking official thoughts for decades and so he had never done anything that wasn't official. Even when he was a slum lord losing billions in every direction possible. Trump University, Trump steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump casinos it was all official. When he was a baby crawling, he knew that one day he'd be lord and so he was lowered from the heavens to this earth in an official decree and so when he was molesting those women it didn't matter that they weren't interested in him, because he knew officially he was God and they would eventually evolve to his level of holiness and every official finger in every unwanted hole was to a higher power and officially correct.
