When I bought my house 5 years ago I was nervous about setting off fireworks for the 4th and decided to talk to my surrounding neighbors to see if they were cool with it. They all said "Sure! Do what you want!" I'm in the middle of the block and have a good size backyard so I figured I would do a number of aerial amusements. Being from places where fireworks were banned I never had the chance to have any real pyro fun growing up as it were. This was my opportunity to make up for some missing childhood. One night before the 4th some of the neighbors started "previewing". You know how it is, "I'll just let off ONE!" I watched as tiny bottle rockets and other small bits went up and decided to jump in as well. It was going to be "Just ONE" after all. So I grabbed a big ass gold Dahlia. I don't know if it broke short or it was really just that big that it covered the ENTIRE block! After that it was crickets, nobody else wanted to play.

This is robbery at best, TNT has a horrible reputation for a reason.

I prefer cakes over one shots. I feel like one shots, it kinda leaves you wanting more and incomplete.

Can you do like a challenge with somebody, there you get 100 dollars each or something and see who can get the best firework for the money Like so they can see

TNT employee, subscriber and fan - here again. We pride ourselves on the ground floor with customer service, being friendly and able to help. Iv worked as a grunt/manager too for the company the last 5-6 years. It doesn’t hurt me to be honest with customers about our products prices etc. honestly I doubt any of us have ever really dissected one like this and it’s something I will now personally consider when working the floor. Love your channel man and feel free to message me with any tnt questions. I can talk to you as honest as a outsider looking in and give fair advice about purchases. I am also very knowledgeable about most of our products but this was a good eye opener

I'm thinking about getting a set of 1.5 cracking ball shells, most 12 shot sets can be had for 10 bucks and use the crackling stars to build some mine effect launch charges for a grand finale. I've been watching too many how to build shells (professional guys) but I don't want to make my own stars

I just bought a case of 12 single shot #500 from Dominator for $90. So for for me at that price even though I know they are not 3inches was worth it for me. For what they are I enjoy them!

Luckily Dayton has a fireworks store, and it's TNT. Seems like the stuff of theirs you've reviewed has been fairly solid quality. Channels like you and TheOftler are making this pyrophobe want to go out and buy some rockets and shells for this weekend!

I always get these tubes in big assortment fire works there loud but i wish they were bigger

My fav video so far was watching you shoot off fire works at a reservation.

In the future, get some of the plastic ball shells, and throw the cut charge in there, and light the shell on the ground (with an extended fuse, obviously). That should make for a more fun display. That, or use the used tube from another firework, and turn it into a mine of sorts, using a cardboard or paper plug to give it the chance to build pressure.

Yeee tnt wooooo love their single shots. By any chance can you compare their 5-6” to excals? I know their a bit expensive but there’s not many videos on shells like NX Level, Double Trouble, ETC.

I learned something but it leads to a question, I just wonder if some of those 3 inch NOAB's are actually 1.5 to 1.75 inch shells wrapped in sn outer empty shell and the inside shell is just loaded with bigger stars to give the appearance of a larger than normal break ?

I bought a bogo of what was called #300 singles from Firehawk a couple year ago for $22 (so $11ea) and they were "3 inch" but I have no idea what was actually in them. However they were monstrous breaks so I was quite impressed. I still wouldn't buy them again simply cuz I can get the same from a noab for less per shot and a lot less per shot with cakes. But anyway, the breaks were easily as big as the Big/Certified Black Label 5" American Super Shells and the williow and chrysanthemum ones were very symmetrical too. But a few years before I got the #200 versions from Firehawk for around $17 for two and those were nothing more than the type of breaks your see from your common 500g cake like Blond Joke or High Falutin. So again, it has to do aolt with the Brand but regardless of how good or bad they just aren't worth the money in the big picture. You'd go broke trying to make a show out of single shots. That would be a like having a 200 shot salute barrage with nothing but Sammy's Bests

Hell yes....way too much....as a pyrotechnics maker myself i can tell you this much....to make lets say a 4" ball shell i use 50g of lift, handful of stars, burst charge with slow flash booster (basically bp with flash), some paper for the pasting stage thats it!! that probably just cost me around 5 bucks.......or a 5/8 rocket with a 3" flash salute heading for around 3 bucks.😊

I love lighting these off. I don't know why, it seems like they go higher or are bigger. Even though they're 30 dollars, I like including some of them in the shows.

i would say some single shot tubes are good and some are ok i went to jakes fireworks and got the king assortment and it came with 2 number shot tubes they where pretty good

I remember back in the 90s single shot tunes were 3 inch shells

Actually Cody, there isn't any fireworks company that makes 2.5" single shots with a true 2.5' shell inside, the reason why is because 60 grams of comp can't fit tightly in a 2.5" shell, however 60 grams can fit tightly in a 2.25" shell which is inside this single shot with a 2.5" outer shell casing. Now that I look at it closer, it actually seems to be just a 1.75" shell inside the 2.5" casing. So essentially just a 1.75" reloadable in that thing, with just more black powder to shoot it higher. As for NOAB's and 3" single shots, they have a 2.25" shell inside a 3" outer casing. Again because only 60 grams can fit tightly into a 2.25" ball shell. Why they can't just have just the 1.75" and 2.25" shells in there without any gimmicks with the larger shell outer casing is beyond me. Red Apple fireworks on the other hand, the single shot that is in some of there assortments are actually the 1.75" shell without any gimmicks like the company making their stuff adding a 2.5" outer shell casing. But all companies making these 1.75" single shots should just have it without the outer shell gimmick.
