I really appreciate these more in depth banner reviews. I always struggle deciding whether to risk my pulls on a weapon banner so I like having a more detailed analysis on the overall “value” of the banner so I can decide if I might regret pulling

Thoma is also good for people who are too lazy to fish for the weapons or the achievements because of his passive talent.

Zajef is so based for the Thoma appreciation, he gets a lot of shit for no reason when in reality he's a really good shielders with some really good teams where he's a perfectly viable option. For example Wanderer, i've used him in Wanderer teams and he feels way more comfy than Zhongli for me, and recently i've been using Thoma on Arlecchino Chevreuse teams and he is really nice in there, and there's way more teams when you start to consider burgeon too, really solid character with good constellations.

Sethos +Tighnari is a really fun team

My XQ and Alhaitam are constantly fighting over my PJC, I also have a Mistsplitter that's not seeing much use (I barely use Ayaka anymore) because I flat out need to use worse artifacts on either of those unit to compensate for the shift from crit ratio to crit dmg. I was contemplating pulling here for the Foliar but then again I would have to re-farm Alhaitam's artifacts and getting Absolution would kinda suck (as I'm not interested in Clorinde). Why can't we just get a weapon banner with a decent signature + PJC??

What you said about Thoma's shield is also why Baizhu's interrupt resistance is great as well, despite his shields being baby. It's another reason why he's comfy as hell.

Sethos feels like a combination of Varus charge Q and Twitch R but he also feels like and ADC with 4 doran swords at minute 40

I forgot how cool Bennet C4 is. How many constellations can you say give a new mechanic for a character that is not a 5* C6?

That's why I haven't activated c6 Bennett just bacause I fear Capitano will be physical or has the c6 Chiori problem. Until he comes out, I doubt I will activate it.

Lynette C6 doesn't work with Bennett C6 for weapon swirl as far as I'm aware.

I got her c1 mainly because she looks even cooler

Doesn't the game consider infusions and "infusions that can't be overriden" to be two separate things? Even the descriptions have two ways to say it: "Character gains X infusion" vs "DMG is converted to X damage". EDIT: I don't know if this is true because it's been a few years since I looked into it but iirc, only the "actual" infusions show up when you're using elemental sight.

Kitan spear is great for Thoma it like basically fixes almost all his issues.

Chiori c6 is so fucking cracked that her being able to change her infusion to others just improves her team versatility.

Guys, question, I am f2p and dont have a single crit sword. I only use keqing, and dont have either alhaitham or clorinde, but i wonder if would be a good investment to get a guaranteed high crit sword for future character

I pulled on weapon bannet to get a widsith but ended up spending 120 pulls and got 2 foliar sword but no widsith. It don't even work on most sword users😭.

As someone who has crowned Thoma his main con is he needs C4 to feel like a complete unit. Otherwise he's been very good for burgeon and overload comps.

not exactly game changing but did you know that benett's c1 text is also false? the atk increase from c1 is not dependant on his base atk but the unit that is being buffed, if you ever wondered why the atk buff amount is not the same across various characters now you know why

I have C6 Chiori and I actually like the versatility of her geo dmg infusion being overridden with Bennett. It gives her more team versatility if you wanna play her against enemies with electro/cryo shields like the current abyss. Her damage multipliers at C6 are so high that even with the C6 infusion she’s still doing like 25-30k normal attacks - especially since she’s dual scaling. She also ironically is my best dps for physical or any element I can infuse because of Kazuha, Shenhe, etc.

I wouldn't call these average banners lol. Clorinde and Al Haitham might not be game changers like Neuvillette or Arlecchino, but they're still very good units. Same for the weapon banner the 2 swords are a win win in my opinion whether you're going for Clorinde or Al Haitham ✨

I got super lucky and after getting Clorinde in 30 pulls, I won 3 other 50/50s and maxed out my Haitham cons (I was only planning to go from C3 to C4, but he deserves it) and I didn't even touch the paid bundles since they reset

I think this is gonna be an unpopular opinion, but as someone who's an older player, seeing Bennett - or really any 1.0 4☆ character - on a banner is increasingly a negative to me. I know that 1.0 characters make up like half the 4☆s bc the rate of release for them is shockingly low at times, but that doesn't change that I have C6 on nearly all of them, and outside of 2 [Fischl and Xingqui] who I've had bad luck in getting copies of, it's a waste of my time when I pull them at rate up on a banner. Yeah I know, return currency, but that doesnt change that my guaranteed 1 4☆ per 20 rolls was taken by something I can't use and that single returned pull almost definitely isn't gonna give me a character back. Seeing 2.0, 3.0, or 4.0 4☆s on a banner is sinply baseline more valuable bc I haven’t had nearly the number of chances to get their cons and I *want* their cons that I can't buy in starglitter to game my way to C6. I think a lot more people than think they do actually agree with this sentiment when they say "where's Kaveh" or "where's Chevreuse", even though I personally also extend that to "where's Layla" and "where's Lynette" [and man was I stoked Lynette re-ran with Arlecchino]. A facet of a lot of Sumeru-forqard 4☆s being much better at high cons is that goddamit it is so HARD to get high cons when they NEVER RUN. I don't care if Kaveh has an extremely niche kit, I'd love to see if I can make him work with higher cons to assist me. And how am I supposed to enjoy that Lynette changes entirely at C6 if it's nigh impossible to get C6? Layla is the 2nd strongest shield in the game and I'd love to C6 my girl! And I fully bet if Gaming doesn't show for a while people are going to bemoan how this awesomely useful DPS at C6 is locked in the vault. Anyway, this is my very long way to say that Thoma and Sethos made me pull a test 10 pull on this banner bc I have been chasing C6 Thoma and am stuck at C3, since he rarely runs, but Bennett made me not willing to pull more bc I have had C6 Bennett for months and don't wanna potentially waste pulls on him. If I can buy you in the starglitter shop and you already do nearly everything needed at C0, I don't want to see you running more than once, *maybe* twice a version if pushed.

Tried to get Thoma cos I wanted to try burgeon, ended up getting clorinde and keqing in the same 10 pull. At least my next 5 star is guaranteed

C6 Chiyori may seem like an extreme example, but I think it's actually a really good reason why C6 Bennett is bad. Imagine spending that kind of money, or hell, imagine spending that many Freemogems to C6 your black stocking waifu, only to find you're permanently locked out of her best team because you thought "no harm in activating my Bennett's last constellation." You've poured all that into getting the very best Chiyori that you can, but you're permanently cockblocked by Bennett's pyro infusion. I maintain that it doesn't matter how many teams Bennett buffs with his C6. It only takes ONE ruined team comp to make it a bad C6, if it's the comp you wanted to play.
