Pacers are 2-9 or something awful on the second nights of back to back. If they were just .500 in those games they’re firmly the 4 seed. Rested and motivated they can beat anyone with their pace. so much depth.

I think Cleveland needs to move DG this offseason. He and Mitchell are a very awkward fit. Mitchell has been very public that winning is his number 1 priority. If the organization moved DG for a better fit, Mitchell would stay.

Cavs are pretenders, they still have spacing issues and their best version was one which wasnt the 5 guys who will be finishing games, a wacky fit will be abused. Suns are pretenders the chemistry will be shit cos Beal barely played and they have 0 depth, they will win gsmes off talent, maybe a series but far from enough. Clippers are legit but depends on health/injuries as it has basically every year. This is their best version in Kawhi era prolly but still the only variable that really counts is if Kawhi will play whole playoffs. Knicks are not legit cos Randle is consistently way worse in playoffs and he still is at worst their 3rd option, that will get abused. They can make ECF but im never betting on them against Boston especially cos if a team stops or slows down Brunson Knicks are cooked. Heat arent legit contender imo, they can go far if Jimmy pops off again but they simply dont have enough talent to go toe to toe vs top dogs as they consistently shown. Warriors I'd bet against in every round cos i dont think Kerr has it in him to bench Klay or wiggins for a young guy in big playoff monents.

I don't trust The Cavs or Clippers. Not that they aren't really good this year. With the Clippers, it is always a matter of can they stay healthy for a playoff run? If they are healthy, will they collapse in the first round like they have before? As long as Steph Curry is on the Warriors, I can never fully count them out if they make the playoffs or play in. Because he is just that dangerous. The Knicks, I think with the way Brunson is playing and the lockdown defender OG is, it will be hard to count them out. Philadelphia, only if Joel Embiid comes back healthy. Milwaukee, I don't see it, I think the defense issues and Doc Rivers probably doom them to a first round exit. Miami, again...even though they don't look all that great, there is a switch that goes on for Jimmy Butler and he plays out of his mind basketball, so it is hard to count them out. Indiana, a team you didn't mention, I think they are a really good team. I am not sure if they have enough right now to contend. I think they are really damn close though and I can see it possible that they could play spoiler for teams come playoff time. I think Sacramento is a complete fraud this year, if they win more than 40 games, I will be shocked. They seem to have regressed. It looked like De'Aaron Fox might be a legit top 5 MVP candidate during the first 20 games of the season. But the team hasn't played with the same offensive firepower they had last season and they haven't gotten better enough on the defensive side to make up for the loss in offense. I think the Thunder, Nuggets and Wolves are legit contenders. The Clippers, I wish I could trust them. The Lakers....a big bag of nope. I know they are a dangerous team. However, with the way LeBron has teated his own teammates and coaches this season, with the inconsistent lineups, with the lack of accountability from LeBron, I can't see them getting past the first round. Boston of course is the overwhelming favorite, regardless of conference. They might win 65-68 games this season. With that starting 5 they have it is really hard to make any case that they aren't in it to win it all.

Lakers are for sure contenders, they just need to avoid Denver and they have a good shot at the Finals this year.
