My only issue with mine is, WHY THE HELL DIDNT I GET THIS SOONER. It saves space in the bed of the truck but at the same time it does take the depth of the bed down to around 12 inches or so from the bed rails. the good side to that is your tools are safe from rain and honest people, unless you add a solid bed cover that has locking access only inside the bed, any cover that has an exposed lock on the outside of the cover can be gotten into. all in all, this is a great thing to add to your truck.

Had the two draw system in my jeep gladiator. Great system if you need to store a lot of tools for the job site. Yes they take up room! Yes they are for those who need real storage of tools rather than a delivery truck. But the real reason I liked mine. I was involved in a rear end collision. Another vehicle hit me from behind doing between 50 and 70 mph. He had to be removed from his vehicle with the jaws of life. My truck, although totaled, was intact due to the decked tool system. Every cop, fireman, and EMS person wanted to know what kept my truck intact. I’ll be placing this in my new vehicle asap.

@@rjmfishtales Yes I also liked how you can easily put something thin down the length of the bed now that the ammo can form isn’t in the way. I use my decked system for tools and it would be nice the be able to keep some strait edges and levels down the side or even be able to go to the back and grab something if it’s slid to the back. That’s one of my current battles where I’ve had things slid past and has now been lost to the front of the bed and it’s horrible to get back there to get anything out. I also like how the new ammo cans don’t let a liquid in, that was always a battle I was fighting. Just out of curiosity, do you know if any of the old tool boxes would fit in the new drawers? There always a box of tools that I don’t touch too often but would still like to keep on the truck, if the old box would fit I’d just put it at the back of one of the drawers.
@rjmfishtales6 ай бұрын
@jonasj333 yes it will definitely fit as that box is smaller than the new one. Just won’t be right like before but will fit.

That is priced right. A weatherguard tool box is 1200-1300. They are not made as good as they use to be. You throw a piece of wood against it or whatever and it’s all dented. The crossover box from Decked is so much better because you can beat the crap out of it and it looks the same.

@billd3765 you will always have a small level of moisture. Anything you really need to protect I suggest putting in a IP65/67 box. what is the distance from top of the deck to the top of the bed rail? Also is there any accessories to haul 8 foot Lumber is a 6’6” bed?
@rjmfishtales4 ай бұрын
The distance to the top of rail from box will depend on your vehicle. But most beds are 20-21 inches deep. Drawers are 12 inches tall. So remaining is 8-9 inches. Sometimes 10. No accessories for hauling 8 foot lumber. My bed is 5’8 long. I just leave tailgate up and stack it on angle. The other day I picked up 8 sheets of 3/4 ply and 24 2x4s no problem. The decked drawers have tie downs built in and I have plenty in the truck. Just strap down all your stuff and good to go. The decked drawers will not restrict you. Just everything is taller out of bed so strap down and go! I rather the drawers than not at all.

You have about 9-10 inches left above the drawers. Depending on bed depth. The drawers are 12 inches tall. So measure your bed depth and subtract 12. Most beds are 20-22 inches deep.

@tommyrq180 through the stash bins just like you did with the ammo cans. The inserts are removable. The initial kit comes with 4 and I added 4 more on the order. I have an F 350 & just seeing this is got me thinking about getting one now. That is an very nice Decked Drawers man. P.S. Ryan buddy can I get your opinion on something? My wife just found some sandals yesterday in a store that the toes area is close up but the back of the heels is open so it's a slips on sandals. Do you think that I should buy it to keep my toes warm for the winter time since my chubby fat wide toes are hurting me when my toes get cold because of my bad nerves that are in my toes or should I just keep my money & fine someone who can make Custom shoes for me? My wife said that they have my size 15 in the store & she thinks that their are wide enough for my feet 🦶. I just don't know what to do but i do need something to keep my toes warm while me wearing my flip flops 🩴. Right now I put the heat on my toes when I am outside in cold weather while being loaded up my Trailer. I appreciate your opinion buddy. I hope everything is going well with the work you are doing in your bathroom & you & your family are having a good weekend buddy.

It all depends what you do with the bed of your truck. Do you always have items in it? Or do you carry big items all the time? You get use to it. All you need to do is learn that all you need to do is have tie downs with you. I think it’s completely worth it. Sometimes if you have a cover over bed then sometimes it can be a pain. In my opinion if you have @decked drawers i would use a cover as well because a lot times you would need to flip out of the way. If you carry a lot of small items and tools etc I think drawers are completely worth it for security. Or you get a hard cover that is hard to break into. Your call.

It’s rain & snow tight. Nothing gets wet or soaked with water. If you have a high moisture level in the air you may get some moisture inside. Like Decked says it’s not Tupperware tight. I keep cordless tools etc in drawers and no issues. You may get a little rust over time on your tools but that is normal for all tools. If you delicate equipment use the boxes that come with Decked when you purchase drawers or us Milwaukee packouts that have an IP67/65 rating and good to go. No tool box or tonneau cover on the market is 100 percent waterproof. If you want waterproof keep inside your truck if it’s that delicate. Besides that the gen 2 drawers are a big improvement and even the storage bins on top have a lip and things stay dry and you can lock them.

Wow that’s crazy. When I bought my first one I had one piece missing. I called them and they answered right away. Told them the issue and got the new piece and more 2 days later. Did you try calling? When it comes to stuff like that I don’t email. Sorry to hear about it. The shipping company was the issue on that.

Yes they take up room in the bed. But for me to haul kayak with tailgate down its the only way to have lockable storage for my gear. If I didn’t have a rack as well I could have done side tool boxes. It is set up for my needs.

Can't get load of dirt or mulch anymore 🫤

You could I would just put down a tarp. It can handle 2000 pounds. Plus that is why they make trailers. 🤔😄. But seriously though you can dirt and mulch. Just place tarp inside bed. Maybe only get a yard at a time since you did lose depth.
