My Flexzion only lasted 1 year. I used it every day, but that's not very long. If you buy a Flexzion every year, in 4 years you will have spent enough money to pay for a Kuvings vacuum blender. Chris, will you ask John to reveal to everyone interested in vacuum blending which product does he recommend as the next step up in quality, performance and longevity. I'd personally like a vacuum blender that would at least last 3 years. Thank fellas. Excellent video about an evolving healthy eating technology!

Ohh did you try their warranty? I know it’s a one year warranty but worth a shot. I fully hear ya on wanting more longevity, in my mind this is a place holder for a better brand, hoping vitamix makes one. I’ve heard decent things about the Kuvings too but it seems this tech is more prone to issues with the extra parts. Hope you get a replacement. I’ll ask John and add it to the description too, pretty new tech still tho so it may be hard to accurately say! Thanks for the comment n love 🙏🏼💚

I bought it too because I saw on Jhon review. The blender is big and the jar is small. I told my. Husband that I wanted to returned because wanted to use in the sprinter van, he didn’t let me he said let’s try it.

Awesome to see you guys together(again). Great discussion. I have a submersion blender for this reason. Can you comment on the effectiveness of one of those? Better than a regular blender?

Thanks much! As per the submersion, thats a stick blender yes? I use them in bigger festivals to make large volumes at once. They do still expose a lot of the food to air, depending if you blend near the top or lower in the food. It’s tough to say, they may be a bit better in terms of oxidization but I wouldn’t say too much better. Hope this helps.

Based on published science I have seen Immersion blenders inject even more oxygen into foods being blended, as a consequence, lower phytonutrients, I would not recommend unless you want to make whipped cream, which it works great for.

Hello I'm using the blender to blend my own tahina, the problem is that while it's blending it forms an air bubble around the blades that makes the blade rotate without blending, I have to stop the blender and shake the bottle till the bubble gets out and restart blending, do you think vacuum blending will resolve this problem?

Hmm that is hard to say, typically I would use a vitamix with the tamper in such a case, i think the vacuum blender would cause the same issue your having for thick nut butters.

Chris and John, Wow, Thanks so much for this video. We are in the midst of selling our house/moving so a new blender is not really an option at the moment. I am very interested to know if you have any experience with adding lemon juice to help slow down oxidation? If so how much before added before it significantly changes the taste of the smoothie or other blended food. This I can do right now, since I always have lemons and limes around!😀 Many Blessings, Tami

Blessings Tami! Thanks for the kind comment! John has a bit more experience adding the limes and lemons, I know for sure it does protect against oxidation to some extent as well as adds extra nutritional benefits as well. With sweet fruit smoothies a little could go a long way, no need add lots which could disrupt digestion. Hope this helps, best to you all on the house sale and move!

Adding some lemon/lime/acid can help lessen some oxidation, but it is STILL being created. adding lemon to a recipe in a vitamix vs no lemon in a vacuum blender, the vacuum blender will still have a higher level of phytonurients, plus all other other benefits vacuum blending can provide, as Im glad chris is now enjoying and experiencing the difference.

That may take a long time!! My first vitamix, that my brother has now, is over 17 years old! I think the best option is a upgrade to make the vitamix a vacuum container!

Does John have a favorite vacuum blender if price is not a concern? I've always used a Vitamix, but now I want to get a vacuum blender that blends as well but under vacuum.

As far as I know his fave is a blendtech attachment container that works on both vitamix and blendtech. Unfortunately it’s sold out currently due to high demand! He may have another, I’ve heard good things about Kuvigs as well... @@TheRawAdvantage Thanks for the link. I do hope that this technology advances more in the future, as of right now it seems to be in its infancy. I don’t want to have to wait for air to be sucked out, nor do I want to not have the ability to add ingredients or use a tamper without destroying the vacuum seal. If the science is truly legitimate, I have faith that the technology will continue to advance and it will be worth pursuing in the future. I will say that my smoothies definitely give me bloating for hours, and that is not fun!

I think it will indeed get better, that said it isn’t actually that new, it’s just now being seen and spread more in other countries. I’m not sure how they would keep the vacuum seal with a tamper involved, but who knows! Myself, I got the 200$ kit for my vitamix because it makes a huge difference, but, wouldn’t be too surprised to want to upgrade within 2-4 years if something even better comes out.

hi guys, a basic Vitamix blender in Australia is $895 (unaffordable) so I can't imagine the price of a vaccuum blender! LOL :D

I’m sorry to hear of the price out there, it’s so wild the different prices as I can find them here for $350-450! That said the base model John Mentioned is only $99 usd on amazon (link in description) and would likely ship for a extra fee, may be a better option than the vitamix all considered. Hope this helps

Wtf, no demo of the Vac Blender? I kept waiting to see how it works. Maybe it will work in a Blendtec, (which I have) because it doesn't need a plunger.

My next video will demo the flexzion blender vs the vitamix. This video was more about vacuum blenders in general. John has more videos on his channel demoing blenders as well, he told me recently he is currently trying out a blendtec vacuum blender. I would bet they will have a vacuum jug available soon. Haha indeed chewing is number 1, especially if that’s your preference! That said vacuum blenders may be a close second and can be helpful for some people and situations. Enjoy what you enjoy!

Why not just get the portable attachment that can go on a vitamix and can probably be rigged to other blenders

That is one option for sure, making your self can be $20-40 and buying premade or new can be $100-200+, just comes down to preference and how handy you are.

If you remove the cap of your blender and use a straw to blow into the mixing bowl until you've replaced the oxygen with your breath, which has almost no oxygen but is hugely nitrogen and co2, wouldn't this achieve the goal without any cost at all? don't forget to replace the cap.

Nope I’m pretty sure he understands that is not the case, but oxygen is the primary cause of nutrient loss in a blender, that and heat if blended long enough at high enough speeds.

Why do you have all these wrinkles around your eyes this is not normal for a guy your age .

Skin health and wrinkles have many contributing factors. Firstly I am turning 40 this summer, most guys that I see around my age look more visibly aged than I am. Beyond this I have unfortunately scarred the skin around both of my eyes, off the right side of the eye with a surfing accident and the left eyelid and side of eye in my motorcycle accident 2018, both extenuate my crows feet to a extent.

@@TheRawAdvantage 40 his young I will be 39 in two months and I have expose my skin to lots of sun and I still don't have wrinkles yet around my eyes and my sister his 42 and no wrinkles . Its not normal to age that fast.
