True - I also love how they hire French locals to do the work needed and speak French all the time to the locals they hire. Sometimes I watch other chateau shows and hear only English people hired and little or no French. I wonder if there is a lot of Brits living and working in France - even after BREXIT. I watch because I want to participate in a French experience virtually that I will never be able to do in real life. I get that with this channel and the lovely authentic hosts Anna and Philipp are. Thank you for that.

Philip I lived in scicily up in the mountains it was hotter than hot but the winters were just freezing but my mother in laws cooking was just magical as you know everything we ate was just o so fresh

I agree that the kids are not used as “content”. I passed by 2 bloggers and the mother said she was going to take her 9 year old daughter out of school full time so she could help with the new baby and to be available as “content”. Disgusting using kids this way. Anyway, it’s clear you would never use your kids like that.

Arlette, that is so true. Raising children is tiring from lack of a good night's sleep. But I wouldn't trade it. Training children to be responsible adults is a rewarding job. Now grandchildren are fun but there is not that accomplishment you have with your own children... Dawn

Actually that margin has grown exponentially, this vid is three months old already. I actually expect that to grow even more "Chateau Diaries" it has lost a lot of it's it's novelty value ,The 'How to Renovate a Chateau "has a charm of it's own not the least of these Philip's extraordinary do it yourself skills producing high class professional down to earth results. Anna and her beautiful designs and managing her family as well. As well as Philip seems to be able to choose really skilled tradesmen and has a nice camaraderie with them. As well as his photography skills putting a lot of work into that side as well. ok that's enough I could go on and on.
