The Yorkshire fisheries is a gorgeous chippy. You should have eaten inside. They have a lovely seating area. I’m a regular and the food is excellent.

Always eat inside. As soon as it's wrapped up the steam kills the batter. Tower Fisheries is the one to go to.

The gulls are more likely to attack if you are walking with food, best trick is to sit down and ignore them.. they won't come near then. I like both Yorkshire and Tower fisheries, people knock coral Island but I rate that too

Always THE best for me. Have the special; sitting down and a family for 4 (2 children) eat for well under 45 quid. Go for the light batter if you go again if you don't like it crispy. Curry sauce is powerful and they normally warn of that. Go for mushy peas. I always do the haddock special with a drink plus bread and butter for about £12.

Yes. Tower up the road are decent for money but yorkshire fishieres are the best

30 years ago when a group of us were staying at a B&B in Osbourne Road, we were wandering round the back streets after a night out & stumbled across this place we didn't know what it was, just wanted another drink. Turned out it was a chippy & they were the best chips i'd ever had. You could take your own alcohol in, but we didn't have any so we planned to go back again with some alcohol the next night, we never found the place again! 😂

I am looking at the extra board menu and in OZ we have a few more - Dim Sims, Chicken Dim Sims, Crumbed Sausage, Chicko Roll, Spring Roll, Crab Sticks, Potato Scallops, Rissoles, Fish Cakes, Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fish Nuggets, probably a lot more I can't bring to mind. Fish and chip shops do not sell pies! They do not do milkshakes! They never have! Cheers

There’s a chip shop in Arnside called ‘Arnside Chippy’ - (funnily enough) - They use beef tallow to fry in, fish is always on point, and service is rapid. It’s extremely popular and for good reason, it’s impossible to talk about the best chippy in the North West without taking this place into consideration. You won’t be disappointed with the place, they also serve the food in a cardboard box, no soggy batter!!! 😂

I would get to Cleveleys and Kay’s that is unreal 😊

I know you like to cook your own food and things aswell as these reviews.. Soooooo how about for 1 time only you try to make heston blumentals fish and chips.. Basically the batter is made with vodka "for the extra light crispiness" and the chips are thrice cooked. you can choose your own fish of course but it would make for an interesting video to see you make it. 👍

I go to Yorkshire Fisheries a few times a year and never had a greasy fish Deano. I always sit in the cafe, I'm not as brave as you to eat it outside.

Where did the £45 come from? The menu clearly showed that the Children's menu was much cheaper, I seej to remember it was £5.50 for the child's portion of Fish and Chips. Meaning that two adults and two children eat for £30. What you drink is extra Admittedly that looked a whole lot of fat on your batter. Big question, was it Beef dripping?. No, I didn't think so. You pay for waht you get. Anyhow £8 for Fish and Chips is still ridiculously cheap in my opinion. Roll on the the other Fish and Chip shops. And that 2 Roast Dinners for £12.49 seemed unbelievably a great price.

Those seagulls are right barstewards, last year I did the fish and chip challenge at Papas lower down the prom and decided to eat outside as it was a nice day and from the off I was plagued by the gulls. I got about three quarters the way through the challenge then a seagull sh1t on me and my food, as I said they are barstewards.

What you've got to remember though Deano... Is that every Fish & Chip Shop can have an off day... Where nothing seems to go right... That being said... I've never been to this particular Chippy myself... So i don't know if they were just having an off day or not... Seaside Fish & Chip Shops should be offering quality Fish & Chips... But some Fish & Chip Shops won't... Simply because they know it's a tourist trap... In London for instance... Where they have some very good Fish & Chip Shops around... But sadly in the tourist traps of London... They don't actually care about offering quality Fish & Chips... Because they'll never get those visitors to London... Returning as their everyday regular customers anyway. What you should have done here in Blackpool mate... Was to have the pot of Curry Sauce put in a carrier bag with your Fish & Chips... You can always reuse that carrier bag at some point in the near future... I keep carrier bags like this in the boot of my car... As you never know when you're going to need one pal... But that Batter on the Fish here from Yorkshire Fisheries... Looked very greasy indeed pal... Unfortunately all Fish & Chip Shops will differ from one another... But at least you're going to a highly rated quality Fish & Chip Shop... When you pay a visit to Murgatroyds in Yeadon Leeds... To try their delicious Fish & Chips...
