@Sam117472 ай бұрын
I didn't hear the cop mention how it's criminal to the speeder and threatened arrest, either cause the cop didn't or it was edited out. It's also a misdemeanor with a few hundred dollars, option of going to traffic school, paying the fine or going to court. He's also been stopped multiple times, not sure if that included a fine or just a warning. So is it really arrogance or just a system that won't do anything cause he's familiar with the system that won't do anything to stop his behavior?

Seat belts definitely lives. I'm a truck driver and was rear ended by another truck and pushed 50 feet into a work truck in front of me. Head immediately went back and forward. Just from hitting the seat, it took 2 days to recover from the shock...and felt nautious with a headache that night. If it wasn't for the seat belt, my head would've went into the hard steering wheel or my body would've went into the wheel or windshield. We need more cops like this out here because the roads are extremely aggressive and unsafe now days.

A F250 struck a Ford Ranger head on in the middle of the night. They were traveling at a combined speed of 120mph when the collision occurred, there were no brake marks. You could hardly make out the cab of the Ranger as it looked like the F250 was eating it. There was one guy walking around, bumps and bruises, another guy was being loaded into an ambulance with critical injuries and later died. The guy in the ranger was wearing a belt, the guy in the F250 wasn't and was thrown through the windshield, first striking the tailgate of the Ranger and then onto the road. A person that was doing a ride along in our squad that night originally thought the critical person was the one in the Ranger. He said he rarely wore his belt and his wife never does. After that he would not go anywhere without their belts on.

People need to understand what can happen from not wearing a seatbelt when you get into an accident. Back around 1981 or 1982 we didn't have any laws requiring us to wear seatbelts in Maryland where both my younger brother and I got into a head on collision. We both smashed our eads into the windshield and by the grace of God we both survived. I ended up having seizures after the accident but there's no way to prove that they were caused by the accident. Ever since then I don't feel comfortable driving without wearing a seatbelt. Also if you get into an accident and your vehicles should roll there's a good chance that you could get ejected from the vehicle, getting seriously injured without being ejected or worse being killed so please don't put your family through that and wear your seatbelt so that your chances of survival are better with it on.
