Is the person you’re dating actually a scammer?
YOU MIGHT BE DEALING WITH A ROMANCE SCAMMER IF:
1. They say they can’t access their bank account. These scammers want you to “loan” them money until they can get the issue sorted. But any money you send will never be returned. Never send money or banking details to anyone you’ve only met online.
2. They say they’ve “come into money” and need your help getting it into the U.S. These scammers often pose as military service members or foreign nationals and claim that they have access to a huge sum of money - they just need your help moving it. They’ll ask for your banking details or even for you to front them cash to pay for the costs. Again, once you send them money, it’s gone.
3. They want you to hold on to a valuable package for them. Once sent, they’ll claim that the package was stuck in customs and ask you to pay a “fee.” But this whole setup is a scam to get your money.
4. They quickly tell you that they love you or even propose. Scammers want to get you hooked so you look past the red flags that they’re a scammer. Beware of “love bombing” - when someone expresses an extreme amount of affection in a short period of time.

Research their name and photos. Do a reverse image search to see if their photos are stolen from other profiles or even magazines.

- Flag their account on the dating site or social media site where you met them.

The key word here is sane. There are many of both sexes that have been traumatized by past romances. They may have pulled back from life itself and live alone and lonely. They starve to be loved and wanted and of value. They long to give all the love they have inside to someone. They are emotionally vulnerable. They are easily taken advantage of. Taking someone's money is one thing, but crushing their dream and destroying their heart is so much more cruel.

I got out of a scamming romance scan without losing any money. But still... he talked to me to the point of thinking I was in love with him. But even when I knew he was a scammer on Instagram, I blocked him and then cried for days. NEVER put down a victim of scam if it's never happened to you. I have a Masters Degree and many certifications. I'm an intelligent lady. But it happened to me. I'm glad I ended it before he got any money. But he did get something worse... my heart and my pride. It takes awhile to heal.

Agree 💯Can see right thru them.The love bug then money as their bank is blocked. They lie about everything. If they ring you usually its a bad connection. Ha ha and u are muted. WHY. As they have a wife and kids. I have seen it all. All they want is money. Never go thru an agents accnt that they give. If u dnt kno them even after the love bugging NEVER DO IT.Then u see and hear the nasty side.As they always blame YOU.STAY SAFE.
