I made a transition over the last several months and He's guided so closely. It's so cool to look back and see where and how He was working in the gradual steps and how much blessing came in the form of support from peers to leave. Thank you for this message, today it served as more affirmation!

This was the message I needed last June when budget cuts not only caused someone else to lose her job, but, because she had seniority, gave her the right to take mine. I got along with everyone, we had a rhythm and the people I worked with the closest had said, "We finally have our family! We hope it never changes!" I've never been so upset about a job. Especially because I don't even see them as jobs anymore but as missions, but I admitted to God that I resented this person disrupting everything and acting like it was just the ways things landed, not her fault. She did not have to make the choice to take my job (I certainly don't think I would have ever done that to someone else), but I promised Him that I would do my very best to get through all my anger by the end of everything. I would show her the big picture of how things worked despite how I felt. A friend celebrated because she saw God doing something new in my life, but I told her I couldn't celebrate yet. I had to get through my resentment. I would have been be lying if I had said it was ok, but she just needed to let me get to the day after it was done. "What if you don' t have tomorrow?!" "I hear you. I get it. I really do wish I could snap my fingers and feel differently. Just know I am determined to get there by my last day on the job." For all intents and purposes, I did just that. Sometimes you need a moment. Sometimes, it's ok to not be ok. When I thought back, I realized God had actually been warning me and that helped. He made a way with a new position elsewhere that I wasn't expecting. They had called the day after I sent my resume, so I thought maybe the Lord was letting me know, "I see what's happening and I've got you. You weren't expecting it, but your time is up. I've got something else waiting for you." OK, Lord. The lesson that I didn't know I needed to learn? Hold NOTHING, not even these jobs you already see as temporary, with a closed fist. I thought I was already better able to let go of things because I had been doing that for a few years already in situations outside of my control, but clearly not. It's a new mission for me now and while I'm still not 100% ok with that person, I keep talking to God asking Him to help me with it because of course I can see the blessing in where He's placed me and I don't want to harbor a shred of bitterness, especially when I am clearly better off! It might even benefit my daughter in a great and unexpected way. Transitions you don't see coming can be torture, but what a gift it is to see the Lord moving on your behalf; to know that He even has something He wants you to do and to simply change the trajectory of your life when you thought you'd be one place and He's got you doing something way more satisfying. I may go kicking and screaming sometimes (trying to keep that a minimum though!), but you best believe I WILL go if He is clearly saying go. ADDENDUM: After I heard this, a friend shared her usual daily devotional. The topic? Transition. OK. Someone trying to tell me something? She comes back with, "Transformation and transition are interchangeable." Maybe I have more here to ponder than I thought. 🙂

It can def feel like torture until we see the result it produces which God is after. Also, it’s always funny to me how God makes it come from multiple directions to make sure we get the point. :))

I wanted to watch this, for help transitioning into a place that I spent years praying for- and I was taught so much. I’ve been praying for my husband to give his heart to God, and he did! Praise Jesus! So now, I’ve been praying on how to be a good steward in this season- to steward this blessing correctly. God is good. Thank you for your obedience. I “found” you by watching the podcast you did with Tim Ross. I found that, from someone publicly sharing an excerpt of that interview as a reel. Good stuff.

This was full of so many good words from the Lord through you! 👏🏻 I have just come through a transition with work. When you said “transition well” my heart received confirmation again that it was part of God’s plan for me. Those were the exact words God had said to me as I prepared to resign and step out into the unknown with Him. My new job has been harder and has asked a lot of me in learning so many new things all at once. But I have learned so much and growth is happening. 👍🏻 Last week I began a new transition within our church family. I am enrolled in a Heritage class and last Saturday I began serving on the Connect Team. It is challenging me in the area of connection with new-to-me family members as I tend to be more of an introvert. It has also birthed a heart change in sacrificing more of my own time in order to be a blessing to them. My “reward” has been the unconditional love and acceptance from each of them. It has truly become a season putting first things first again and is a great blessing. 😌 I am excited to dive into Mentor Mondays as well. I have never been bothered by your tone in the past but the gentle tone this week was very soothing. It helped me to receive more easily some of the hard to hear things this week. Thank you so much Pastor! ❤ I will see you Saturday evening.

This word was for me ! 🔥🔥🔥 When I tell you that this word came in such a pivotal moment in my life, so timely. Pastor Preston thank you for yielding yourself to the Holy Spirit in order for him to speak through you, I thank you for your obedience. I’m only about 15 minutes in of this word and I find myself behind a van that reads “transit”. Father God I hear you , it’s time to go. Thank you Father for your mercies and for the favor you are showing me by the conviction of this word. 🙏🏾

Here from the Gateway and The Basement. It was very painful to go under conditions in which I was willfully slandered in my grandsons eyes by someone. From that moment it’s been a cry to God to change my heart, leave the situation, and trust God that the truth will come out in God’s timing.

When I don’t feel God is being specific about the next place, I like to put multiple “hooks” in the water. Then I look for confirmations and for where things seem the most “obvious”.

Sis, in my experience HE doesn't always tell you in words before but by events/actions taking place in that environment / season / relationship e.g. job loss, being left by someone in a relationship without fault, and Holy Spirit conviction. In Dec the Holy Spirit gave me a conviction that you are now done here, move forward i.e. let go of control and/or wanting to be in control even though you are the eldest child; this is not what I have for you. Off-course you understand when HE speaks as you know your life & whats happening & what He's said before. The more time we spend reading the bible getting to know GOD and in prayer i.e. talking to HIM the more better and better and better we learn HIS voice and HEAR when HE speaks even if its just a conviction and then we engage HIM further and get clarity example what Ps Preston started with at the beginning of this video. All else fail, i have learnt to directly ask GOD to speak to me about things i am not clear about or needing confirmation or frustrated about or confused about or hurt about. And HE speaks, always just that we must be attentive as the answer could just be a random yet you will know that it came from HIM. Dear LORD our Father may you speak to my Sister clearly and give her direction and ideas and strategies and convictions as she continues walking with you. Amen.

He leaves the 99 for me. I feel so much confirmation in this message. One of the major reasons I felt him calling me to move was to step away from the comfort of my family and into who he’s made me to be. And when you said you know your trust God, if when he says go, you start immediately taking the steps. 🥹🥹🙏🏼😭🙌🏻
