Thank you for shedding light on this. Lots of people go back to uae as life is better there comparatively. You forgot to talk about the food and how in USA and Canada the food is so heavily processed and filled with chemicals that people get sick and unhealthy with obesity being so prevalent in USA. Also from an education Standpoint, having gone to school in uae and Canada and Jakarta early on, uae is the best as some companies provide it to their employees, and also people have choice what board they want to study be it Indian, British, American or any other. And they are encouraged to part take in extra curricular activities and be involved with hobbies etc. not so much here in Canada. This video is 100% spot on, and your honesty is appreciated, especially for you as an outsider who hasn’t lived in Canada.

I would agree and disagree at the same time I stay in USA, but I have visited UAE(Dubai) about the cleanliness of USA- Its absolutely pollution free area, the streets are very clean. But yes it takes heavy taxes. I love USA(not trying to dislike UAE, I love UAE).

@@ARIA_ROY_OFFICIAL You taxes in the US pays for Free School education, Medicaid and Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, Social Security, Paid family leave ( statewise), clean and free Parks (had to mention it). Also, Income taxes are progressive in the US. Not everyone pays the same percentage. Most people also get a part of tax money returned every year. Dubai you pay for everything not to mention the hidden fees such as Housing Fees, Agency fees, DEWA and so many other fees. Not to mention the fees to go to Public parks. All of this adds up and are backdoor taxes, not to mention the VAT. Also, compare the average salaries for each job in both US and UAE. US is so big and diverse, there are many cities with considerable lower cost of living than that of UAE cities.

I disagree with the cleanliness point, I live in US and have never had to face cleanliness problem being outside my home. And I also want to add that this country has given me ample of job opportunities and money to live quality life and travel around the world. I could never imagine this growth in my career if I were in my home country or any other country. I feel blessed living in US.😊😊

Very true analysis. I have been living in Canada for the last 20 years. I traveled almost 100 times to the USA. I visited Dubai 3 times. UAE life is way better compared to Canada and the USA. For 2 decades, North American countries ranking went down in safety, health facilities, and in schooling. etc.

USA has given us every opportunity. Great education and extremely well paid careers, a lot of wealth and happiness and citizenship. Dubai is a great place to visit ( desert safari, etc) and buying gold :)!

Totally totally agree with what you have mentioned....moved to US from Mumbai 3 years back. Very isolated and loney life here plus all the other issues that you have discussed. Plan to move to Dubai in about 3-4 years as we feel Dubai is the best blend of the east and west and good life with so much social activity and safe environment. Also so close to India so can visit more often !! Your video is spot on 👍👍

Nikhar and Masroor, thanks for sharing your thoughts and detailed analysis. Having experienced both regions, I think your analysis applies to 80-90% of NRIs who are in white-collar jobs. UAE indeed is one of the best places for most NRIs in terms of access to India, ease of living, quality of life, and return for money. For the top 10-20% of NRIs in the US though, the US offers the best of everything despite the issues existing here, given the opportunities, market size, tech innovation, and salaries. The tax rate does tend to be around the 30-35% mark for high earners, but salaries at top firms are also high enough to compensate. This is what people aim for when they come to the US so people in tech specially will continue to target the US. In addition, access to outdoors in something that the US really leads many other regions in the world. The city parks as well as national park system is really outstanding. There is obviously a balance though, chasing $ dreams while struggling with raising kids, house work, etc. does get frustrating. Thanks for sharing your content!

What about old age? After retirement age in Dubai? One has to return to homeland if you are not working, work visa is the only criteria to stay in Dubai. And after returning from Dubai it becomes difficult to get job in home country for so many reasons like work culture, money, trust issue with the company, company in home country thinks youll leave the country again etc. Taxfree salary is the mian best point in dubai. Otherwise every country has a + - in terms of settlement for indian.

I have completely agreed with your points. I am living in Brazil from last eight years with my wife. The cost of living is too high here in Brazil. Govt. Charged taxes around 30%. Also inflation rate has increased a last couple of years. The Brazilian cities are not safe too. Domestic help is too expensive. All the points you both have covered equally like USA and Canada. You have to wait in a long que for medical facilities. Political instability has weakened the economy in last couple of years.

It depends on your current passport and how good your job is in both countries. If you have a strong passport stay in UAE. If not, move to USA. You’ll always be seen as a foreigner in the gulf.

Biggest issue in UAE is living here for even 100 years, will not get you permanent residency or nationality. Health sector is extremely expensive as well as education. UAE could be a initial platform to earn and save some money but not long run game.

I live in Canada currently and agree with most of your points. But you didn't discuss anything about life after retirement. Nobody would want to go back to their home country that time by choice, but they will not have much options if they didn't get any citizenship before moving to Dubai, as it will become difficult in older age to get another citizenship. I think you should discuss this point too in another video, so that your viewers have a complete picture. Thanks.

It's true, but recently there are 10 year golden visa facilities, which in future can also lead to citizenship kind of opportunities. But as of now, for old age people they can go back to india if they can't afford living here. Gulf countries are a way to make money before retirement, create wealth back home and then retire safely among extended family in India. We can explore this topic more

Bhai if you pay tax in US you get social security, your children are getting free education, salaries are no comparable with USA. Any skilled Indian get atleast $60000 salary in US and which is dream salary in UAE forget everything else check the remittance from Dubai to India and US to India who is leading , UAE GDP not even 1/2 trillion dollar whereas US -25 trillion dollar People love to see natural & scenic beauty and visit Europe /Swiss / US there is no greenary in UAE Any Asian prefer to migrate to western country, then why Dubai is the last choice Best colleges , best schools and best R&D in USA US leads Innovation of this world , at the age of 60 you get pension from Govt and your health expenses taken care later age as you paid taxes

India aane ke bad bhi ghar aapka hi rahega but ghar kharid ke residency nhi milegi. Golden visa mil sakta he ghar kharid ke but uske liye minimum 3-4 cr ka ghar hona chaiye. Baki bahut se log h jo India me reh ke bhi dubai property me invest karte he to wo rahega aapke naam hi ghar kahi bhi raho

@@IndiansAbroad It is not about perspective , it is about being impartial and balanced ona serious topic about migration , since you ask I have worked in UAe for short period and in the west for long so have first hand exp although I like UAE for saving potential and relative safety however there are other factors too... but it can't and should not be compared to the west , may be it can be compared to Oman, or Ex pat in Saudi or Bahrain,, same way migration to Canad can be compared to Australia or NZ C'mon you want more views we all knwo that but people could get wrong impression about both west and UAE... be more balanced please

Having lived in Aus, the UK and Duabi+Abu Dhabi, I fully subscribe to what you say. Life is better in UAE. There is just one thing that I'm confused about, if I and my spouse do not want to work for whatever reason then how do I stay in UAE, with no kids to sponsor. Maybe it is my ignorance or lack of knowledge and there are ways to stay. Can you share some details about it?

Those who come in UAE and work in construction or restaurants. Their salaries are very low. 1000 aed 1200 aed and max to 1500 aed ... Working hours 12 hours sometimes more than it. This is also a bad reality of UAE. People work there as slaves....

Dubai isn't a country! you know it well! anyway, your video content was great! I personally believe that the living quality in the UAE is better than in the USA. The UAE has all the qualifications to enlist itself in the list of developed countries. I don't know why this country hasn't been recognized for its position yet!

Actually we had to do it intentionally, very few knows uae and hence they would not have opened the video if i would hv written uae vs usa. Hence we had to write that as people only know dubai, unfortunately

US is class apart, US duniya ka dada aaise hi nahi hai , Despite all bad things as per your video people still want to migrate to US only Despite all bad things , People stand in queue outside embassy in queue for US visa and wait years & years get visa unlike UAE visa which you get like train local train ticket Think through what's wrong with your analysis

Yes, these are bizarre exaggerated facts with so much factual inaccuracies starting from suggesting that things cost the same in US and Dubai or that in Restaurants you don't pay tax in Dubai to begin with and continues on and on for every point. Even, the Passport thing is not true. There is no long wait for nationalities other than India/Chinese. Also, for Indians you can get a quick Greencard based on the category (EB1 for example). Many Indians get a Canadian Citizenship and work easily in the US. Healthcare is also case by case in Dubai. My mother got into an accident and had a terrible shoulder injury in Dubai, and the Healthcare was so bad that we had to stabilize her and decided to take her to Indian and got her treated in Medanta in India. All doctors in Dubai from Astor to Saudi-German wanted to operate on her. Medanta fixed her without operation. All Sheikhs eventually go to the US to get medical treatment or have opened branch of US hospitals in UAE that caters to Emiratis primarily. Speaks so much for the quality of it. Just because you call something research does not makes it a research. All conspiracy theorists are well researched also.

Hey Ujwal, with all due respect, there was no comparision with universities or tech companies and the fact is that very few people actually go their for quality of education ( only those who are extremely talented) rest all go their to earn money and student visa is the only way to move to USA like we explained in the video.. So even if you get the great education and great job and best salary there you will still have to face the same issues we discussed in the video...

As an NRI, you are non taxable in india if you don't earn anything in India. But if you earn anything in India then for that you have to pay taxes

They don't send you back. Get the free Lancer visa of 2 years, get Emirates I'd. Do whatever you like in this 2 years. You can make driving licence also in this duration and can earn approximately 5000 aed as a driver. But to be honest the work situation in UAE is not as good as in Usa. In UAE employers treat to employees badly.

40 percent of UAE population from India. In USA it's less than 2 percent . In Dubai if u live u feel great as u live with Indians n enjoy . Life is very boring in western world for Indians . More than money , is enjoyment and being with Indians . U can afford restaurants , laundry n luxure which u can be never in western countries . If u r Indian . UAE is for very good 4 u . In western world u feel dizzy
