At about 18:08 in the vid- Looks like the tank on the ground is frosted up. This happens due to the volume of LP the unit is drawing out of the bottle. (Propane forges run for long periods do the same to 20 and even 100lb tanks) It will cause the flow from the bottle to sputter. If you can, stick the bottle in a bucket of water. It will help slow/prevent the freeze up. 🥶👍🤘

Chrome, suggest you put some foam under the shower unit once stowed. It may help when your bouncing around. There may be some sensitive parts inside. Love the channel.

From Australia here, it's grate that people from other countries can enjoy our products that are made down under. As for the dust problem, I'm not sure. Chrome thats awesome, much more convenient than those black plastic bags you have to sit in the sun and then wait. You can take a shower in the middle of the night and nobody has to wait. Safe travels, and happy showering

Get some ikea deck tiles for when you shower so your feet aren't in the mud or grass. Keeps things a little cleaner. Just an FYI Awsome shower unit 👌

Make sure you get water out of pump. If it freezes water will expand and break stuff. Maybe take air and blow everything out.? From experience. Take care

You could set up a shower curtain and use a drain tray in your shop with the joolca during the winter months.

Before you mount it on the side, remember the narrow places with branches rubbing against your van. This may damage the bag and unit. Just a thought.

I love long and hot showers too. My inner child is so so happy about it. Maybe get shower tent for less private areas and it will stay less cold when getting dressed again.

Thanks for the demo. Looks amazing. Simple solution for placing the unit: Just buy a couple "S" hooks and hang it by the handle off of your van ladder. Pack everythying back in the drawar when done

I was surprised that pump pulled the water that well. Usually pumps push better than they pull. Very nice! I bet if you had a shower pan that could catch and recirculate the water like the 'Hour Shower' you could get the water hotter and increase the pressure. Too cool.

you can use your air compressor to blow the water out of the lines when your done if you want or need to.

Every time I take a outside shower I think, "How cool is this!!!" Welcome to the club. Best thing ever is under a full moon or no moon with the stars...so peaceful. It's the little things like this that I miss about being nomad - I'll be back!

Hey Chrome, hot showers is where it’s at! Very happy for you. Suggestion: You used to get foam for your liquor drawer back in the day that you cut to fit your bottles. Would that be helpful as you could mould it around the shape of you Joolco to secure it from sliding around. That or those flat foam 1x1 squares at the dollar store to pad the bottom of the drawer since you do a lot of bumping around in the back country. Just a thought. Enjoy!

Tie wrap it to the tire carrier when you use it. If it works, have mounted permanently. I bought the nomad set for my build out. I'll let you know how it goes.

A large storage tote makes a great bathtub or even some thick black plastic slung between some logs can be an impromptu bathtub!

Mount it with magnets like you did the starlink just stick that bracket on the side of van (either side) Put the gas tank in a bag and hanged it with a carabiner

In addition to the shower, JOOLCA has something like a sink to wash your dishes. For the van you can do what you're doing.

You gotta love the little things. If you're going to mount the shower unit to the outside of your van ,you're going to have to be extra careful going through those tight back country areas you love ramming your van into. One thick branch could possibly take it out. Stay weird my friend 😎🤟

Shower curtain is an overkill. You use it near a water source that is usually backcountry, not walmart parking lot. Just be naked or wear swim trunks if other campers are nearby. I use outside open shower everyday after pool time wearing a two-piece suit.

For a steep incline > 4 meters up , put the pump ,Jackery, and short hose by the water source and pump up the long hose. 16 feet is the limit a perfect vacuum can draw.

AND.. if you are not near a water source (stream, etc) you can drop the pump in the 5 gallon bucket.. without having to do all the work heating the water! Awesome... game changer for sure...

Reminds me of the combi gas boiler in my flat. When you turn on the hot tap, the boiler ignites and you have hot water. Also does central heating, but a radiator and pipes would be a bit heavy in a van! Cleaver how they have adapted the technology to an off-grid boiler.

Thank you for the review on a product that I've been looking at. Like the idea of the side shower awning, if not you could weld it on the tire rack no one would even see it. Yes use it before you commit, that's what I'll be doing with my van. Eh Chrome 👋🏻 just a reminder before you go & mount this new device on the side of your van… Remember the trails or off-roads here on Vancouver Island & BC for that matter ( Vancouver Island Pinstripes) how many time your van got hit by branches. Anything like that hot water heater would certainly take a beating even behind a latter. Why don’t you fit it instead inside of your door in the window covering of the passenger side so when you open your back door it’s right there protected & ready.
