i am not an assassin player at all tho, so i can't understand your struggle against summoner^^ but OMG do i get smashed when i face a good assassin ._. but well, it is like 1 in 5, it seems some of them just play assassin because it looks cool xD anyway, i would love to train against an assassin, you want to spar?:)

+Vowid Honestly, the best bit of advice he gave in the beginning. Keep your distance, play safe, choose your attacks wisely. Pretty easy to get to gold just by playing like that. I see a lot of newer player hitting the cat by accident or getting caught when they shouldn't. Play off your smokescreen and lotus and don't just go in hard robot mode. :)

+SomeRandom Adress Thanks a lot! I'm still learning myself, since I've only played this game for a couple weeks or so. But thanks for sharing this. I've seen a combo of someone using their SS+RB in a combo and immediatly canceling it with their X teleport from stealth to continue the chain CC.

+iBrick I use my Avermedia Live Gamer Portable Light to record. It works fine, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are better capture cards. You can also have a look into OBS for recording and if you want to have the best possible ingame performance you can use your GPU to encode, which will keep your FPS on almost the same level. (If you have a GPU that supports that, but most new ones do)

+scalerdragon2 Thanks! You can just practice it anywhere in the world. Jump up to the highest point. Press Space bar to Glide, Press Space bar to stop gliding, drop the flower, press spacebar again immediatly to glide again. From there you can do the whole thing again for activating your counter to cover up against some air openers, helps against Destroyers for example. And you can also open up in the air by using Tab switch to stealth (very important against Blade Dancers) I gotta practice it myself, I have trouble with laying down V since I use the same finger like for space bar.

+Tomoya Okazaki Thanks! Against Summoners you want to stay in stealth as much as possible and Lightning Pierce helps you get a bit of extra dps while doing so. Trying to pull off combos and stunning Summoners is not optimal, because they can protect themselves with their cat pretty easily.

+lyynhrt I haven't been playing this game more than for 2 weeks. You can get there fast if you do some research! ^_^ I still need to learn A LOT. I'm far from knowing the ins and outs of every class.

+YaBoyChaco I do it by feeling. I think it happens mostly subconsciously, since I evaluate the way the Summoner plays. Sometimes they try to reserve some abilitiies to bait out my escapes and sometimes they just use their stuff. In this game a lot of the stuff happens like that, since it's almost impossible to react to some abilities. You gotta predict it. That being said though. Summoners usually throw so much stuff at you, that you have a fairly easy time restealthing with Q anyway.

I've been struggling with some Summoners yesterday, that I haven't had trouble with before. But the matchup's fun to me either way.

It's meant to be for assassin's to learn to counter a summoner, so prepare for a lot of summoner hate on that video (A LOT of hate), BUT he does actually go over how a summoner builds against an assassin to show assassins what to counter. Might be a good place for you to start. He was given the summoner build to teach assassins by a high level summoner main from EU so I recon it's a very reputable build. +Rush Chan Thank you! I'll do that once I get a good recording. As a hint right now: Tab switch is your best offensive ability against BD's and Destroyers. And when BD's have swords flying around them, they'll resist 5 attacks.

+EU Talox I personally don't like it, since the ranged negation effect of smokebomb is very useful against summoners. Also against really good summoners you have to play for time unfortunately and make use of the healing a lot.

The familiar will deal a lot of damage as well. The summoner is pretty weak without their familiar so if you get rid of it you'll have an advantage.

+TABsk The beam is pretty hard to hit when you circle around them wildly. Just try to move around in unpredictable patterns. To be honest Summoners have other ways to get you out of stealth too and I'll have to make another video to showcase how to deal with that. But getting a Tab Switch on the summoner often times allow you to just deal tons of damage already.

+Phuykong Meng There's no real trick to it, you can only really spam it. It depends a lot on latency I'm afraid.

I'll try to think about a different way to solve it / play around with some stuff. But if you have any paticular suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

+Teldo just transition into a heavy slowmo (like 80-90% slowed down), with the exact slowing based on how long you need to talk about what happened during the slowmo. or you can just go for a consistent slowmo speed, and then do the pause at the end of what you're highlighting. basically, let us SEE what you're talking about, as it's happening, rather than just freezing on a screen and leaving it up to us to interpret the still frame. you can also do a slowmo -> brief explanation -> quick rewind -> slowmo in *slower* motion -> deeper explanation while it's happening. that way we get a bit of a primer on what's going on and know what to look out for on the 2nd slowmo. it's much easier to see what's going on in this game while it's in motion, the full freeze just adds more questions than it answers, and distracts from what you're saying (since i'm too occupied with trying to figure out what's going on in the still frame)

Unfortunately I've been having tons of issues with codecs in the past and just recently managed to get it working decently. If I find a way to implement slowmotions into the video without too much interuption I'd definitely try to do that, because I agree that it would be better for the viewer to understand what's goin on. +hard mode If you get the chance it'd greatly increase your chances of winning. However a good Summoner will protect their pet and make it hard for you to keep focusing it. It'll take lots of damage over time and you might be able to kill it eventually though. Just going for it straight away is not necessarily a great strategy.
